Hands down the best. Great price. I love this thing. Using it for several race/freestyle quads and I'm impressed. Coming from a cheaper transmitter with a similar name, I didn't think it was really that worth it at first, but I've got to say, this will be an investment worth its weight if you're an RC hobbiest. The throttle has micro clicks along the axis, which I find very helpful in maintaining a certain altitude or hover. The gimbals are solid. I love having telemetry and audio notifications. This is very helpful if you fly FPV, especially if you don't have an OSD. Setting timers, voltage and RSSI (signal strength) warnings is great. Not to mention 16 channels??? I found this very helpful to do in flight PID tuning. It was super easy to assign channels in the radio and link them in Clean Flight to do adjustments while in the field. A lot quicker than going back to a computer for every adjustment. Came with a battery, neck strap, and a multi-hole attachment for the neck strap. The capabilities of this radio are very impressive.

Great radio for the price. Only complaints is that the menu system is very complicated and hard to configure just about everything except for the name of the model. It's not like spektrum radios where everything is neatly organized and easy to find. Second complaint is that the txt charger cable it came withhas a EU plug or something foreign so it's useless. So that means no way to charge crappy Ni-Mh battery it came with since the battery plugs look more like a balance plug I can't even plug it into my battery charger. The spectrum charger cable does plug into it but it doesn't seem to charge so I'm literally stuck with no way to charge the battery.

Awesome radio. I dont have much to say other than it does what is suppose to do. This is my first real radio after only having a RTF radio that I got with my first quadcopter. I am glad I went with this radio.

One of the best out there with out a doubt! This radio is just short of a computer with an antenna. If you can dream it, this can do it. Ever want to make a nice soft bank turn with a quad, yeah me too! You can actually configure the Taranis todo the bank turn for you at the flick of a switch! Yep, you can mix all kinds of things into one single switch. This unit will talk to you and also provides haptic feedback (vibration). This is an open source software running on a very solid piece of hardware. The Taranis support is fantastic. The user base for this hardware/software combination is one of the largest. Do you have a spectrum aircraft? Don't want to carry two controllers? Well don't. For a few more dollars you can by an add on module for the back and fly spectrum and orange receivers.

It feels very solid in your hand. It doesn't feel like apiece of plastic. Feels very ergonomically. The gimbals (sticks) operate really smooth. It does seem the throttle doesn't go to 0, it seems to still have some engagement. I haven't tried trimming it yet. I will probably open it up and adjust the screws. Speaking of that - the inside of this is very clean and easy to maneuver. I broke two switches on a different one, ordered the factory replacement and put it in VERY easy.

That is a HUGE MAJOR plus in my book. You can buy factory parts for this - for everything - even down to the circuit boards. I haven't been so lucky finding parts for other radios!

OpenTX the software consortium has a great OpenTX University for learning the Taranis!

I can't say enough good things about this product!

I've been using this successfully with Freerider and Liftoff while I get the hang of flying, before buying a quad to bind it to. I like that it's so customizable. I've already swapped the voice packs and disabled the startup "Welcome to Open T" it does by default. The battery lasts quite a while and charges easily using the internal charging circuit and included AC adapter. The balance bar doesn't sit perfectly centered points slightly in one direction, but it works fine.

My first Taranis I got was a dud. Throttle didn't work, but the replacement is working great so far. Amazon makes returns easy enough though.

For only ~$220 you get 16 channels, up to 18, full telemetry, S.BUS support, voice and vibration alerts, tons of customization options through open source software, ability to use a different Tx module for long range systems or spektrum for blade copters.
For the price you can't beat it. More expensive comparable Futaba and Spektrum remotes don't have all those features and cost $800+. I can fly across a whole field that my university has which is around 250 Yards and the signal is still strong.

Very good. My only complaint is some of the switches came loose, and my arm switch actually fell inside the case. I had to open it up and fix it. Annoying but it has been good since I fixed it.

I like that this came with a pretty good sized battery. The sticks are great definitely my best transmitter.

I ordered this from China expecting to wait a month and it arrived within the week. This may not be the same for everyone, but hey I'd say give it a go.

The controller is everything that I would expect. Make sure you get a compatible receiver and I know you'll be happy with this controller. There is a learning curve for beginners.

Overall I'm super pleased with the craftsmanship. Great product.
