Overall, this case is amazing and I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a large case with great airflow. I'm going to focus on some negative aspects that haven't been pointed out so far.

The great part about this case is the amount of space that is available for use. Not only can you use the largest of heatsinks available, but you can also change to a complicated radiator setup with no modification. The fact that the top can support 240mm with room to spare for 140mm radiators on the back and bottom of makes this case very flexible in regards to cooling options.

The one sad thing is the front intake. The front fan mounts are "snap in" plastic clips with peg mounts to keep down vibration and add stability. While this setup is convenient for installation purposes, it limits fans to box style housing. Although many quality fans fit (I'm enjoying 2 Yate-Loons) it does limit things as some of the highest rated 140mm fans use rounded frames that cannot be held in by the clips. This arrangement also precludes using radiators on the front without major modifications to the case.

The fan filters provided are lightweight and do a good job of filtering the larger dust particles. I don't get dust bunnies, but I do get a thin coating of dust; however it is easy to remove with compressed air. The top and bottom filters are removeable. Unfortunately, if you remove the top filter, you expose the fan support grills underneath and the case definitely looks as if it is "missing something". (Yes that also means that the top fans must deal with both a filter and a grill!) The front fan filter also has a honeycomb grill and a filter, but the grill is the front protection that you see on the outside of the case.

This is a perfect example of a well made simplistic case. The Removable side panels have almost no wobble at all, which you usually get in other metal cases. The 4 bay hard drive rack that can be removed is very simple. I like that the case came with a fan controller for 3 fans which fits perfectly in the vertical expansion slot. The only reason this case did not get 5 stars is that all the thumb screws were way too tight. It took the supplied allen tool with philips to loosen all the internal thumb screws. The case thumb screws I had to loosen with my own screw driver. The hard drive bays are not a tool free design, but you can remove the thumb screw that holds it into place. The side latches hold the drives very securely with out them. I am glad that I did not have to buy a 2.5 to 3.25 holder for any of the smaller drives I have installed in my computer. I would recommend this case to any one, from the novice builder to the extreme builder. This case will handle that, and every thing in between.

I have built this system using this Arc Midi case. For more details of my build, see: [...]
Overall, I am happy with the case. As many of the other reviewers put together good points for pros and cons, I would like to just tell why I ate up one start in my ratings.
I didnt like the fan filters (especially the front and side) arrangement. I need to remove the entire front door to clean the front filter. Modern cases gives us a sliding flat thingy with mesh to pull out, clean and put it back(such filter is there for this case at the bottom). I hate to remove the front door each time to clean.
Also the side door fan doesnt have the holes to fit a 200mm fan, also no filter for that door. I have put in a 200mm fan on side using zipties but still looking for a reasonable filter.
Overall good case with few limitations
I heard that they have fixed this front filter issue in their R2 version of the same case.
I have filled in all possible airflow arrangements for this case.
Overall good.

This is a high quality well made micro atx case. It has cable management for a clean build. There are rubber grommets on all the cable holes. There are holes with grommets for piping your water cooling to the outside, but it is possible to install large radiators internally. Check out the tom's hardware build for what this case can do. Everything fits right, goes in the right place, and install cleanly. This is a solid piece of work.

Because of the high quality there are some glaring mistakes. The first mistake has to do with the side vent. All the large opening in this case have filters on them. There's a cleanable filter on the bottom to filter the air coming into the power supply and for a bottom fan if you install one. There are filters on top of the case. There are filters on the front of the case. However, there is NO filter on the side of the case. Instead it's a big hole right next to your motherboard that will let plenty of dust get in. In addition, this hole has a bulge on the outside. Installing a screen on it is difficult.

The other mistake is the thumb screws to open the case. I have to guess which thumb screw goes into which hole because neither the holes nor the screws are machined with any sort of precision. Eventually I got this case closed and all the screws to work correctly.

My computer runs cool, takes up little space, I love the top usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports. I also love the understated styling. If Fractal Design makes a window for the side panel on this case, makes some better screws for opening the case(or ditches screws all together), this would be perfect.
