Reasonably interesting book however it just stops. There's obviously going to be a sequel to it but I always feel like I'm being taken with sequels. Either write an entire book or don't.

I will start by saying this is not the type of book I would normally read. However, when the author requested reviews of the book I thought it would be a great way for me to branch out from my normal reading. I am very glad I did. I am used to fantasy books that are often fast paced and quite intense so I was a little worried that I might not be able to `get into' Fragile Facade. However, I was definitely proven wrong. The characters drew me in and I quickly started to feel like I knew them. I love the way the story went back and forth between the two main characters seeing things from their point of view. Lots of intrigue and thought provoking mystery that made me occasionally stop reading to see if I could "figure it out". I sat down one night intending to just start the book and ending up being up until 3 a.m. trying to finish it when my body failed me. I got up early the next morning and finished the book. As I write this I am praying that Sophie has finished the second book because I am dying to know what happens next. The book really wormed its way into my reality and I feel like I'm waiting for it to continue. My husband laughed at me when he heard me gasp in the other room and yell "Damnit - now I need the second book!!!" In my house of avid readers - that is always a good sign of a great book! Thanks so much Sophie for giving me the chance to review this book. I am now a fan and as a fan I can't wait to read the next book! 

The premise of this book is unique and has me eager to read the second one in the series. The author has a wonderful, fluid writing style and every sentence paints a picture. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

This book was just a little too far fetched for me. I read all kinds of books and can suspend reality when it's called for. This though? A girl goes on all this for a girl she doesn't know, who somehow was able to plant clues where the first girl would find them and then use all of her time doing all of these things? Maybe if there had been an explanation of how the second girl knows... I didn't really like the characters to begin with and didn't really get why the rich girl even needed to do all that. Granted it's been a bit since I've read it and maybe there were subtle clues I'm just not remembering, but I do recall not caring enough to get the sequel.

This is a book you can’t stop reading. One more chapter turns into five. The mystery around Lark’s disappearance and whatever secrets she discovered is consuming. Trying to decipher the clues with Raven is enthralling. The developing relationship between Raven and Asher is so sweet and a welcome distraction from the many possible bad endings to what really happened to Lark. The writing is great, with the plot drawing you in quickly, and the many twists and turns keeping you engaged and guessing. The ending and the reveal of the next clue leaves you wanting more while also feeling nervous about the connection between these two girls. Sophie Davis does a great job of winding the writings of both girls together seamlessly, allowing the reader to jump between viewpoints and timelines without confusion. Even when I had to stop reading the book for a week, I was able to easily and quickly immerse myself back in the storyline. I highly recommend this story if you enjoy mysteries or coming-of-age tales. You’ll become engrossed in this story, and it is well worth your time.

3.5/5 stars
I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
When given the chance to read a free copy of this book I jumped at the opportunity since I absolutely loved Sophie Davis' Talented series. The book was definitely full of mystery and intrigue from beginning to end and kept me on my toes. The book grabbed my attention from the beginning and throughout the book I was constantly trying to piece together what happened to Lark and what was going to happen next. I have numerous theories, but I have a feeling that none of them come close to what is really going on. I would have liked the pace to have been faster and have had more questions answered by the end of the book, but as the first book of the series I understand that a foundation needs to be laid for the next books. It ended with a cliffhanger, so I am dying to see what the next book in the series brings.

I wasn't sure why to expect when I started this book, but became hooked quickly. Sometimes I wanted to just skip ahead, to get answers, but restrained myself. Most of the time.
No spoilers here, you will just have to give it a try!
