They didn't fit.
The patterns are copied from the original book with few changes except a larger crochet hook. As a result, they are mostly too small, and have to be resized to fit from what is written. The shawl, for example, was too small to fit around my doll's shoulders, and the purse was way too large. (I also made some sweater sleeves--had to add both length and width to get them to fit correctly.)
While it's an interesting trip down memory lane, the book does not fulfill its stated purpose--providing accurate knitting and crochet patterns for 18" dolls.
