This gem from 1960 featured two singing legends..Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Without a doubt, there is a lot of magic when these two music titans performed in this ABC-TV special. There are even some appearances by Nancy Sinatra, Joey Bishop, and Sammy Davis,Jr. I especially enjoyed the duet of Love Me Tender/Witchcraft. By the way get a load of the commercials from the legendary John Cameron Swayze for Timex! Timeless entertainment to enjoy!!

A piece of history, Elvis and Sinatra singing together. If you like these two great singing icons on stage together you will enjoy it.

Aside from the two Elvis appearances, this show was the height of boring. The dance routines and skits are THE WORST in television history. Absolutely no talent to be observed, no genuine anything. Everything totally rehearsed, staged, forced and phony... even the singing. There could have been some spirit of entertainment behind making this show, but maybe it was too early for anyone to have figured out what is entertaining. If you've seen the Elvis clips elsewhere in his library just pass. If you're a Sinatra fan you probably should have this.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he was all smiles. He had talked about this album before and was really surprised I was able to find it. It was in perfect condition and arrived right on time. Great seller!

Bought this to see Elvis again! I watched the show when aired in 1960. The "King Of Rock & Roll", and "The Chairman Of The Board". How could you go wrong!

HISTORIC APPEARANCE
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on November 3, 2017
Elvis was paid an unprecedented amount to perform a few songs on this now historic show.
The Frank Sinatra Show was Elvis' very first post army appearance on television. Viewer ratings for The Frank Sinatra show were boosted to record levels with Elvis' guest appearance. In order to get Elvis on the show, Sinatra and the show sponsors had to meet Presley's manager's demand of $50,000, an unprecedented sum at the time. They agreed, though it's been reported that Sinatra wasn't too enamored with Elvis until this show!
This DVD is the entire episode, complete with live product advertising as well as other sketches and songs by Sinatra and various guests. Other than seeing and hearing a fairly nervous Elvis casting his spell on both the live and television audience, this presentation is worth acquiring just to see how television shows looked like in 1960. Sound and black & white film quality is only adequate.
In summary, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra fans will love this historic television show, but do not expect HD film quality or stereo sound.

BAD QUALITY DVD PICTURE!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on August 14, 2015
I ordered this DVD as I know as an Elvis fan its never ever been released officialy by EPE/GRACELAND and has always looked bad on bootleg DVD's!-I was told that this DVD is the best unofficial DVD released so I bought it and paid a high price tag for an item which wasn't REMASTERED on DVD at all,it looks washed out and old!!-the only good thing about this DVD is the fact its the complete show but in very bad quality and has some very interesting 'bonus features' which was well worth watching(even this wasn't very good quality)I cannot recommend this DVD to any serious Elvis Presley fan as the picture quality is so BAD.(I'm well upset I paid nearly £16 for this DVD.)Maybe one day EPE/GRACELAND will release a decent DVD of this show remastered like they did with the Ed Sullivan Shows..only time will tell.(please do not waste your money ordering this DVD)Be Warned!!!

Elvis has returned to the building!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on April 1, 2018
Picture quality not very good, but it's a historical moment in Elvis's career, his first appearance since his de-mob from the army. Maybe one day this dvd will get restored and then we can fully enjoy the experience!

Poor quality picture for the price paid although I liked the extra bonus features & the fact it was the whole show it is watchable. Not sure whether I would recommend at it's current price. Hopefully Graceland/EPE will bring out a copy that has been remastered.
