You have to be in the mood for this ......
This is one of those movies that you have to really be in the mood for. If you don't like horror movies at all, then you probably won't like this. I have an interest in WWII and this movie actually does have some atmosphere. Atmosphere in that it does a nice job showing Germany falling apart because of the Russian advance. Over the top gore makes this one a film you really have to be in the mood for, unless you like the genre.

Okay, the four stars are for overall enjoyment and feeling entertained, but truthfully this film has a few major issues.

Contradictory statement, I know, but I'll explain.

Very little story, rather weakly written, but well shot, fairly well acted, INCREDIBLE beasties, and a great ending.

A rollercoaster lasts just a few minutes, and it's a lot of slow lead up to a few adrenaline and heart pounding seconds. But you always get back in line again! This movie is that rollercoaster. 'Nuff said.
