Top Customer Reviews
It still tastes like instant coffee, although it's better than Folgers or whatever brand found at the grocery store. I add a little extra to hot water to make it stronger, and it tastes pretty good.
In an emergency situation, you just want something hot in your stomach and perhaps a little caffeine to keep you awake. This well packaged product does just that and I'm going to add a couple of packs to our camping gear.
I give it 4.5 stars.
I have purchases a variety of items from this company, but their coffee is the best deal! It is inexpensive and stores long term. It will be great to have several of these on hand should any type of natural disaster, power failure, or economic collapse happen. Something big is coming our way. Everyone I talk to can feel it coming. Time to prepare!
I can't stress enough not to overdue it on the coffee crystals. Using any more than one teaspoon per 6 ounces of water will result in something much stronger and much more bitter than is typically palatable. I actually found that using a bit of extra water, maybe 8 ounces or so, per teaspoon of product yields the best results.
Prepared this way, the coffee tastes very much like Maxwell House Original Medium Roast ground coffee and is a good bit better than Folger's instant.
I will be using this pouch, which is the first I bought just to see if I would like it, for everyday use at home and here shortly will be ordering the one-year supply also available on Amazon. Especially since the cost works out to be cheaper per serving than buying the instant packs off the shelf at the store.
