It is a great book on how the games was played almost 40 years ago.
It is out dated today. But some of how players trained years ago is still applicable today.
In those days Germany and the Dutch had the best off ball movement inside the field to make a 15 yard pass look open when a second before it was congested space.
Remember this if you have not seen it before it is not old. It becomes new again :)
Great book if your into our game you will love it.
Anyone looking for a book to help with player development might be well-served to get a book by Horst Wein, Peter Schreiner's "Perfect Ball Control," or one of Ruiz's books. Each one is by an author who specializes in youth soccer development, and they are focused on making soccer fun while teaching sound fundamentals, vision and decision-making.
