This series explores humanity’s near future of living across the stars and under foreign occupation. After Earth was environmentally devastated amidst a nuclear war the Aelisha empire steps in and save us at a high cost. In return for being uplifted and given their advanced technology, humanity becomes a subservient race for their empire. The stories blend fast-paced action with deep philosophical questions regarding time, fate, and individual will. The stories do not need to be read in order but each story ties together in a larger narrative.

Eric is a modern day renaissance man in a world demanding crushing specialization. He has done everything from lumberjacking high in the mountains, flying helicopters and working as a scientist for the government to leading rescue operations for a fire department where he had reached the rank of Captain.

He has been working on the VayneLine series for over ten years with the goal of a Science fiction series that is at once easily approachable, but having a very deep mythos that serious fans can enjoy. He prides his writing on being multi-layered that someone looking only for action will find it, whereas someone looking for deeper philosophical meaning can find it as many of his books deal with concepts such as free will, destiny, the flow of time, and the sacrifice an individual might make to change these.
