My husband and I love zombies so I bought this Ice cube tray to serve drinks during our Zombie board game nights. Reasons you should buy it:

1.Brains stays SIDE UP! (see picture) It does not flip over, the flat part stays down and the tip of the brain even stays out of your drink, maintaining the creases and shape of the brain.

2.Comes off easily from silicone tray. Only cracks a bit (but doesn't break) sometimes when in contact with your cold drink. (There is no need to use warm water to get them out of tray, as box says.)

3.You can add RED food coloring for a cooler more brain-ish look (I've attached pictures). The tray holds 1cup of water, so mix a little more than 1cup of water with 1 drop of food coloring and you'll get a very cool looking pinkish brain.

4.I have not timed it but I don't think it takes longer than regular ice cubes to freeze. I leave it overnight and it's ready in the morning. Fill it up again and it's ready at night. Keep the cycle going and you have a whole bunch of little brains stored in your freezer in a few days! (Again, picture!)

Used these for glowing Jell-O brain shots! Perfect for my Halloween party. I used 1 small box of Jell-O, 1 extra pack gelatin, 1.5C Tonic water, 0.5C vodka. Worked perfect, and came out more easily than any of my other molds. I did as another reviewer suggested, and cut the rim of silicone that extends over the top edge. If you don't the rim will hold your jello in when you try to get it out. FYI, tonic water glows under UV lighting (blacklight) because of the quinine that is added to tonic water. When they are finished, the brains glow super bright under blacklight. I would strongly recommend using blue jello, because quinine glows blue, and other colors added will essentially block the glow. Also you will want to spray the molds with nonstick spray.

Great product, but the review is inaccurate. This product is HAND WASH ONLY (see uploaded picture). The other issue is that the outer frame is not rigid (the entire mold is silicone). Therefore, to get the mold into the freezer easily (we have a bottom load freezer), you need to place the mold on a stiff backing material like a piece of cardboard.

I have to say first that I'm not using this for ice, although I'm sure it would be great for that. I'm actually using this to mold chocolate (filled chocolate, so I'm doing the shells). It works very well for this purpose. I'm new to molding chocolate, and I've learned a little already. If you pour shells here, then be sure to fill and cover before popping. Don't get overexcited and just pop out the chocolate shells, they will crack. Fill them, top them and let them set up for a while. They come out very very nice. The chocolate won't be shiny (it won't be with silicone), but it releases like a dream and looks excellent. I'm buying a bunch of different molds for this and so far I've loved them all.

I tried this the day after I got it. It was great! First off, it makes ice cubes that are about the same size as normal ice cubes. If you are looking for something larger, keep looking. For me, this is the exact size I wanted. I'm making JELLO!!

I don't know about you, but I love Jello Jigglers. I don't add any of the cold water at all. So, they come out extra firm. This does mean that they will need more fridge time to set. Also, the colors will be more intense. Finally, be sure to spray the mold with a little of your favorite non-stick spray before pouring in the Jello. They turned out great. I'm trying different color combos right now.

These molds were fabulous to make jello brain shots for a friends "Walking Dead" season premier party, and i will remake these for Halloween parties as well!

Zombie Brains w/ Raspberry Blood
(requires 3 molds & makes 12 brains)

3oz Lime Jello mix (NOT SUGAR FREE)
8oz Boiling Water
8oz ICE COLD Absolute Citron (store bottle in ice box for at least an hour)
Raspberry Dessert Sauce (store bought in squeeze bottle)
4oz or 5oz plastic cups (like jello shot cups but a little larger)

Boil a pot of water. (it's best to measure the water after it's boiled) While you're waiting... Use two fingers and some vegetable oil to lightly coat the inside of dry clean brain molds. You should make sure every nook and cranny is coated but you should not have any oil pooling in the mold. Set molds aside. Place jello mix in medium bowl add 8oz of boiling water and mix for 2 mins until mix is dissolved. Add ICE COLD liquor, stir, and immediately begin to pour into brain molds. Fill 3/4 of each brain and evenly distribute any remaining liquid. Cover each mold with plastic wrap and place in a level area in the fridge. LET THESE SIT OVERNIGHT

Now the fun begins... Grab a plate and butter knife. Take one mold at a time out of the fridge. Run the back of the mold under warm (not hot) water for a few seconds. Take the butter knife and also run it under the water. (the wet knife will not stick to the jello) One brain at a time: Using the knife on its side apply a bit of pressure to the bottom of the brain and pull it away from the mold towards the center. Turn the mold over and gently start to squeeze and push the bottom of the mold. You are trying to release the suction of the jello from the mold.Read more ›
