If you're looking for a decorative item/conversation piece first and a useful item second, I'd recommend this. If you want it to be more utilitarian than decorative, however, I'd keep looking at other products.
It can twist off the caps of your lady's wine coolers with its mighty inner thighs,. It can pop open your "Heine" caps with its Herculean buck teeth. And it can pry open cans with its steely Superman eyes.
What more can you ask for??
I love these quirky products from Fred, I also have the FRED Cool Jazz Ice Cube Stirs (set of 3) Guitar shaped ice tray drink Stirrers Swizzle Sticks.
It seems pretty durable & I think it'll be around for a while!!

Cute but not quite as durable as some other bottle openers. Good as a stocking stuffer, or as part of a "guy gift basket"Published on February 2, 2014 by Alyssa
Works well as a bottle opener, looks cute as a little green frog on your counter or in your drawer.Published on March 26, 2013 by Laura
Why not. This guy is cute and fun and surprisingly convenient. Either way he'll make friends go 'what the heck is that' which always gets a laughPublished on March 19, 2013 by Shawna

Fred Hop is a cute and useful tool for both bottle caps and twist-off tops. It adds a whimsical touch to a needed tool.Published on November 22, 2012 by S. E. Weatherby
This product will not open a standard screw top bottle of water. It is a waste of money. I was disappointed with the product and would not recommend any one buying it.Published on February 17, 2012 by Shreeder
