This is a really nice jacket. Well built, lots of pockets, and very warm. The liner zips out to a very nice warm fall jacket. The outer jacket is actually very warm on its own. I'll update this when winter gets into full swing and I see how the combined liner/outer stand up to single-digit temperatures here in Cleveland. I'm optimistic though.

I got it at Burlington Coat Factory for $59, so that's odd that a brick-and-mortar store is beating Amazon on price.

EDIT: We've had single digits several days so far this winter. This is a very, very comfortable jacket, even in those subfreezing temperatures!

This coat is amazingly warm when worn with both pieces. The inner portion is fitted to avoid snow up your back, and fastens easily into the outer shell. Seams appear to be sturdy and well constructed and zippers are heavier than most coats (also easy to grasp with gloves on). The color is darker than the picture appears, as it is a true black with light trim. This coat fits well, however anyone over 6 feet may have a problem with it being too short. It is also sized a it small for a man with broad shoulders, as the torso is more "square" than "V" shaped.

This jacket was a pleasant surprise. You always see pictures but hope it's just as good for real.

Provides very good comfort and warmth for the snowy season. Great material for durability and braving the snowy cold.

The fall jacket inside is great for the lesser cold and is seamlessly inside without issue.

    I recommend this to everyone!!!!

This is a great jacket for a Minnesota fall and winter. Global warming apparently has not hit us here in fly-over country, and this jacket (with both layers) kept me warm and comfortable when outside for 5+ hours in 7-14 degree temps. Even with both layers, the jacket is lightweight and not too bulky. Zippers are large and sturdy - east to work with gloves on, and the pockets are a good size so nothing falls out. Pocket in arm as well is a nice touch. The fact that I can zip out a layer is a big plus, and each layer is warm all on its own. I highly recommend this jacket.

At first this jacket seemed really nice. It's thick, heavy, and warm like I expected. However I noticed when I put it on it felt a bit small even when I bought a size bigger then I usually wear. The next thing i noticed was how thin the pockets and elastic cords were. Also the zipper seems thick and durable except upon a closer look the base of the latch looks really thin and breakable. This jacket is full of disappointments and indicators of being overpriced and cheaply made despite looking durable.

Ordered an XL. At 5'10'', the jacket reached below waist slightly, so if you're taller, expect the jacket to be waist length. Extremely warm and water resistant. Got exactly what was expected as far as warmth and weight.

I purchased this jacket to use for snowboarding, although it does not come with a powder skirt or clips to attach to snowboarding pants. This was a bit frustrating at times, but it did keep me warm regardless. The one complaint I have with the jacket is the cheap clips that keep the sleeves of the underneath jacket in. First time I wore the jacket, the inner jacket's sleeve broke the sewn on clip that kept it from shifting within the jacket. (If you are familiar with a system jacket you know that there is a zipped in jacket underneath the outer heavy coat). This was frustrating because I just bought the jacket and it is a rather expensive investment to make. However, the poor quality of the sleeve clip did not alter the performance of the jacket on the slopes. I found myself extremely warm and dry. This is a great jacket for all cold weather outdoor activities, but if you fall often and need a powder skirt or clips for boarding pants this does not come with those.

We are going on 2 years of taking it skiing and it is still holding up! This jacket is so nice. Love how the inside disconnected from the outer layer in case the weather is nice instead of cold. This jacket is one that will make you really happy to have. And you will look really good in the snow or just in the cold. It is one that will last. The hanks for this great product.
