Cover-designing is not for everyone. One has to find a suitable picture, (often) pay for it through their nose, and then have to dabble in graphics software, which is not all that easy or intuitive. Amazon's Cover Creator has solved all these problems once and for all, in a semi-professional manner.
This ebook explains the process of using this cover-creator. It would be useful for every budding do-it-yourself author-publisher because Amazon gives very little guidance about how to use its cover-creator. What is more, the book gives a lot more additional information about KDP.
*** Good coverage of Amazon Cover Creator
*** Additional information about how to post books on Amazon
*** Useful for Kindle Direct Publishing authors
*** Entry-level book
*** Useful guide for beginners
*** Buy with confidence
the author points to a great outsourcing site for more elaborate, quality covers that won't cost a fortune to have created. All in all, this little book is a nice resource.
Don't misunderstand, though, this is definitely a good guide, especially helpful to people who don't like reading manufacturer instructions. Admit it guys, reading manufacturer assembly instructions is about as exciting as picking fleas off a dog, especially if the dog is dead.
Even though I had already used Amazon's Cover Creator Beta with great ease, I learned helpful tips to add a subtitle, change fonts, and even how to adjust color schemes and such, so even I found value in this book.
This book is of especial worth to writers trying to publish their first Kindle book, as it is written in terrific tutorial format that I truly wish had been available when I was publishing my first social media experiment a couple years ago.
So, despite minor glitches in typing and editing (and I do mean only a very few minor typos) and despite a price set higher than I would expect, Free Kindle Book Covers: How to Use Amazon's Cover Creator to... is a must-buy for new Kindle authors. Even at $4.99 this is a valuable tutorial.
If you already know about this Kindle publishing feature, you may be able to figure it out on your own, and not need this book. I am sticking by my 5-star rating, because it opened up the world to me.
