I received a free copy of Free Tools for review. Having read tons of how-to books for writers, I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but Banes delivered adequately. A word of caution: many of the tools are downloads which can, if you go overboard with them, quickly clog up your computer, slowing it to a snail’s pace.
If, though, you want some hints to help you get off to a good start in the blogosphere or the writing game, this is a good place to start.
It's going to be an interesting adventure (& education) checking out all the links you shared. Many thanks from a newbie to freelancing!!
This book answered so many of my questions and provided an impressive selection of websites that I will certainly use.
I highly recommend this book to beginners and experienced bloggers.
Evernote (one of her listed tools) has been of immense help in organizing my life. Tick Tock Timer helps me keep focused during various writing projects
Thank you Karen Barnes for writing this book. I will read and reread it, as other suggested tools may meet my needs at a later date.
