If you are fan of Cut Copy's older albums, this is for you. This album is closer to In Ghosts Colours than Zonoscope. It is a 90's dance party waiting to happen. Love the album, very upbeat and vintage Cut Copy.

Cut Copy never fails to disappoint. Taking things in a new direction, this records is less electro blended with sounds of the 70's and more of '90s house inspired electro euphoria. I'm in love with this band and their versatile sound. P.S. They are absolutely amazing live! One of my favorite live acts of all time - no exaggeration!

Cannot tell you how many times an indie band I never heard of before has done the same thing to me this year. You can go from Haim to St.Lucia and its the same story. Since the early 1990's,I would walk into record stores with a sense of fear about me-feeling terribly timid and afraid to buy music of any sort. The reason was because I was an 80's music admirer, especially when it came to pop music. And when I purchased music of that sort at the time,I would get hostile raised eyebrows from many a cashier and sometimes even a short lecture on "credibility". But that's only an example from personal experience. This isn't all about me because I have a feeling many people at that time, even into the new millennium experienced the onslaught of anti 80's credibility police,as I tend to think of them. Aside from musical cliches that occur in all decades, the production style of the 80's was one of the most varied and sonically beautiful of the 20'th century-melding together all of the most innovative strands of music of the previous two decades from glam rock, electronic, funk and world musics of many sorts into different synth pop and new wave styles. It was all very futurist and expansive. Than game "grunge" and gangsta rap and...you know the rest. Recently the metaphoric embargo on anything 80's oriented in the popular music lexicon has lifted. While at first some groups exploring this only used parts of that eras sound to build their own musical styles, others such as this Australian trio from Melbourne have made a career of facing the 1980's fully in their music. Being the first album of theirs I've heard, here's how I experienced this one.Read more ›

Love this CD/album - hip Australian Synth Pop that's been updated. They have a great sound and I think the music is very good and well crafted. You could have it on in the background or play it loud at a party and still it would work well.

I've been a Cut Copy fan for years and I have learned to trust that they will continue making amazing music. I love this album because it makes me feel so happy! There is not a bad song on this album. I have seen them in concert several times and listening to these songs nearly give me the same high that I get at their shows. This is the best of 2013!

The Cut Copy hot streak continues: another fantastic album packed with catchy, addictive songs. I liked it the first time I listened to the CD, and 20-some plays later I still can't get enough of it. Did I mention that it was addictive?

Of course this is very cool dance music, but the real strength of this band, in my opinion, is that they also know how to write good pop songs. The sort of songs that you make you sing and smile ... and dance if you want to. Perfect music for late night or even to get those juices flowing first thing in the morning. I've loved everything that I've heard by this band and this album is no exception.

Innovative bass lines, bouncy melodies ... what's not to like? Well ... the "artsy" transition mini-songs are a little wierd at first but they grow on you and really do help take it from a collection of songs to an integrated album. Nothing deep here, just fun listening. Loving it more and more the more I play it ... bought it for "We are Explorers" but now really into the closing tracks starting with the just amazing "House of Love" ... way worth buying!

From Cut Copy's beginnings to what they are now, they have progressed and pushed the limits of how they "design" music. This album harkens back to Primal Scream's Screamadelic. This is music that keeps giving and can truly brighten your day.
