Top Customer Reviews
I received this recently as a gift. I did the initial charge via USB (8 hours per the instructions) and have done solar charging since then. Here's my experience:
- USB charging of the battery - 2 hours (0 to 100%)
- Solar charging of the battery - 8 hours outside in full sun (0 to 100%)
- Charging of HTC Incredible with extended battery - 5% to 90% in 1.5 hours
- Charging of iPhone 4S - 20% to 90% in 1.5 hours
If you use this for camping, hiking, emergency/earthquake kits, it will work well. If you try to use this in a car or behind UV-protected windows in a house, you'll never get the charge you need. It's a solar panel and needs access to light.
The return period on this item was also a disappointment. I bought well ahead of a trip into the wilds only to find out I can't get a full refund for it after 30 days.
