There are basic things that you need to consider and Allan helps you work through them and although some of the recommended tools or websites might be a bit outdated, the advice is sound.
Read this book and apply Allan's advice and you'll be on your way toward a rewarding careering in freelance writer.
It's difficult to earn a living as a freelancer, especially if you need to earn a substantial amount of money monthly to support yourself and a family. But this book sets you in the right direction.
Even though I've been writing for many years I still found some good ideas in this book.
I feel like if you put the work in and followed the advice in this book, you could make ends meet if not make a decent living from freelance writing, just starting out. Obviously the more work you put into it and figure out the game, the more you will get paid!
Allan explains how to get your writing noticed and highlights the good and bad ways to make a living through writing. He also encourages you to get started on writing your profile and showcasing the work you've done so far.
By giving you the tools to think of your niche, this book shows you how easy it is to get out of the rat race and set up your own writing business. You can also connect with Allan through his website which is a good source of information for any aspiring freelance writer.
I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to "sharpen their sword", in literary terms, and get the most out of their abilities.
