While others say: when we are confronted by primal choices, the decisions that weigh heavily on our hearts, experience or destiny cannot predict the result ... but our hearts can surmise the final outcome. When the judgment before us carries extreme perceived consequence, yet we still make the choice (whether resulting in action or inaction) -- that is freewill.

I hope you enjoy reading this story, as much as I enjoyed writing it. And I hope you can find your own definition of freewill along the way.

The Freewill Trilogy is a must-read

It is not often you come across a book - or a series of them - that makes you say, "Wow!" But in the case of Draper's Freewill Trilogy, that's exactly what happened. I stumbled across the first book by accident, and took a chance on an author I didn't know. In Book 1, Freewill, we meet our heroine, Ellie, who has discovered there is another world, a world of magic. Naturally, she is linked to it in ways she doesn't understand. And there are dark forces afoot, and a terrible series of events that is about to occur. All things you would expect in an urban/mythical fantasy hybrid type of book. And if the author simply stuck with that, she'd have a good trilogy. But Here's where Draper takes good and makes it better. Her writing is complex and beautiful, filled with fantastic imagery and soul. She describes things like an artist rather than a writer, with details that create pictures in the reader's mind. In the wrong hands, this stylistic type of writing would cause people to flip pages to the next scene. Draper, however, handles it perfectly, delivering stories that are more like cinematic events. Books two and three in the series, Consequences and Vindication, take Ellie and her companions on a whirlwind of adventures and journeys, until they reach their final conclusions, and understand how all death, destruction, loss, love, and sacrifice have been essential to achieving victory - for themselves and the world.

In December 2013, Elyse Draper published the three books of her trilogy 'Freewill' (originally published individually in 2012) in one volume, just on time for christmas. This paranormal fairytale is more than just a romance or a dark and light fantasy. It is a lesson on choices and responsibilities. The characters are as memorable as close friends and readers will be unwilling to let go of them at the end of the final page.

This trilogy is thoughtful, philosophical, cleverly balanced and punctuated with cliffhangers and unexpected twists. It is a tale of love, beauty, and reality. While suspense abound, readers have time to get acquainted with heroes and baddies alike, human and animal, alive and dead (death being relative). Readers will travel through time and through space.

"The main character, Ellie, has discovered an ancient world that exists within, and alongside, our own. To survive the mysterious and dangerous, she has to learn what she has become since her death, where her strength really resides, and how to love and be loved. Unbeknownst to her, destiny's stop watch is counting down, secret organizations are watching her every move, and her family's past may destroy her future."

Elyse Draper is an intelligent and twisted writer. She writes cliffhangers and fireworks, juggles with dark and light, good and evil, playing card tricks on the readers, but with love and compassion. Another example of her talent is the bonus short story 'Lay Me Down' (original published in 'The Ladies and Gentlemen of Horror Anthology 2013'), a ghost story like no other.

I loved this book. Its story was intriguing and the main characters were so much fun. The sex scenes made for a great romance and the love they had was very inspiring. Even through the drama it kept you wanting more. I couldnt put it down.
