And so it was that that particular afternoon, I happened to come across this ostensibly modest, little book on French grammar: Berlitz's French Grammar Handbook by Alan Moys. Don't let its appearance deceive you, though, for it's an atomic bomb of a book, packed with such linguistic power and magic that it's bound to make any reader of any degree of scholarship or proficiency in the language possessive of it, ''unletgoably'' posseissive, at that. What's more, this handbook also doubles as a handy ready reckoner which, in my opinion, therefore is best used for revision- for a good brush-up, if you like, whatever the time, situation or occasion. It's a real wonder at all how such a handbook can be so impossibly good, so productive!! Perhaps the only downside is the limited use of examples to explain the concepts- surely, the book could have done better with more examples.
I, however, recommend this book very highly; this is for any avid and sincere learner of French grammar and the language at large.
