This story is about Nora, an Art Major and finishing off her last year of College and how she learns that her Boyfriend Ethan has been leading a double life... And in the other life she is not included because he is cheating on her with other girls and some of them she knows from Campus. Heartbroken, Humiliated and Embarrassed and down right angry she decides to flee the Country to Paris for a year.
Where she meets her neighbour Jacque's, who's also in the same boat as Nora... He's suffering from a broken heart as well after being cheated on.
The two form a bond through a window as the language barrier is sketchy at best and when Nora returns after a night out with a fellow American she is accosted by a guy outside her apartment... Jacques comes to her rescue in which earns him an invite into Nora's apartment for a nightcap *wink wink* Even though these two feel a connection Nora is quite drunk and wants Jacques to stay the night with her. But in the morning the sexual connection is tenfold. and they certainly make the most of it.
But how will these two react to their fears? The ones they have deep down because of their cheating spouses before? And will they actually start falling for each other? or will their past play interference with their future?
I can't express how much I really enjoyed this book and even though there was a Language barrier between these two, it just goes to prove that Love is a Universal Language! No matter what nationally or where ever you are.
If you want to read a really sweet book all about a second chance at Love, then this is the book for you. I would highly recommend it.
I want to Thank Jade Allen so much for sharing this book and I was absolutely lucky to get this book as an Arc for a Voluntary Review.

What can be said about a friend interrupting you studying for finals to show very specific videos, as well as evidence, that your boyfriend has been cheating on you, and apparently videoing himself doing it? Nora is finding this out first hand. When Nora confronts him, he blames HER. After all if she would have done just want he said and wanted he wouldn't have been driven to do such things. That is the final straw. She is out of there, and on her way to France.
Tattoo artist by day, musician in a band at night, and all man. Jacques hears that his friend Claude has rented out the apartment across the alley from his, and to an American girl. At first he isn't interested about it, and then one night there is a sneeze, and that is the connection. He can't believe that she is gorgeous, a whole lot of rusty with speaking French, and so sweet.
The bet his boss makes about him being with "the American girl" within a certain amount of time happens, but Jacques isn't biting. He has a horrible relationship experience not long ago and he wears those scars. Nora has not told Jacques about what her past relationship was like, so the secret looms. She decides after they heat up, very VERY nicely, to get a tattoo. She designs it herself and has Jacques give her that tattoo. She learns he is in a band. Now she is a "groupie" for Jacques.
Things feel like they are going so good between them, and then a crazy woman (known by all the guys in the band as just that -- CRAZY) starts something, it is hurtful and it will expose Nora's secret. Jacques is not the ex-boyfriend and he fights for her. He proves his innocence of what cray-cray lady accuses him of. Just in time too, Nora was going home. There is old wounds that show up, and secrets shared, from both of them.
The crazy lady admits to lying, the handsome Jacques wins the heart of Nora, a second time, and even more than that Nora and Jacques get a happily ever after. The way he goes about it melts Nora's heart again and again.
