Product Description

This season, Will meets Lisa – and before you can say “Go slow, bro,” he’s in love, engaged and standing before the minister with 50 pounds of iced shrimp melting in the banquet hall. All that romance must be contagious, because Carlton finds his soul sister through online dating. (Unfortunately, that’s only half right. It’s Hilary.) And there’s a lot more than love going on as Will grapples with a big orange whale, a mobster, a bear, Jay Leno, Lisa’s cantankerous dad and in one of the series’ most memorable episodes, a bullet with his name on it. With this 4-disc set, you are cordially invited to all 25 laugh-out-loud, love-happy Season 5 Episodes of the hit, hilarious show that gave sitcoms street smarts.

From KIDS FIRST!: Get ready to wipe tears of laughter out of your eyes as you watch the fabulous fifth season of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Will has just enough edge to keep life interesting in his uncle’s mansion, but he’s smooth and sensitive enough to keep it real. During this season, he meets Lisa, falls in love and begins to plan his wedding. He also goes through a series of adventures with his cousins, aunt and uncle from establishing singing careers and dealing with fame to dancing on Soul Train. In spite of mishaps and misunderstandings, Will’s extended family enjoy a unique bond that helps them work through any problem. Geared towards older, teenage viewers, this title has some humor that is not appropriate for young children. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Season Five helps children are working through problems or emotional issues. Some episodes deal with the sobering truth that bad things do happen to good people sometimes as we see when Will gets shot and hospitalized. KIDS FIRST! Child Juror Comments: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is a very original comedy that's been known as a classic on Nick at Night, and now the entire fifth season is on DVD. It has a catchy theme song, lovable and funny characters, and rather "fresh’ jokes because of the scenario, such as when Will finds the "love of his life" online, and his family is picking on him for it, and also when Will is trying to act like a manager when he has absolutely no experience. The characters treat each other fairly well. Despite they all have their flaws, they all eventually work out their problems and get along again. This series is generally not appropriate for children, but maybe for more of the 12+ age range. There are, however, a few episodes that are family-friendly. Overall, I'd say that this is a refreshing taste of what good comedy is.

I am a huge Fresh Prince fan. Never missed it when it was on the air, then always watched it in reruns. To own the complete series is a given for any Fresh Prince fan. This is the first season I've given anything less than 5 stars to, and the reason behind it is that I am rating the season itself. I was sad to see the real Aunt Viv leave. The new Aunt Viv just didn't fit in. I noticed a few episodes that didn't feature any scenes w/her and surprisingly, I found those funnier than any episodes that did feature her. It's sad that they couldn't work out their differences for the sake of the show but that's Hollywood I guess. I watched every episode and plan to buy the last 2 seasons ASAP. The show itself is a gem and 100x better than any of the garbage on TV today.

The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Season 5 is the continuation of the always funny and often heart wamring tales of Will Smith playing a character of the same name. Season 5 leaves off where season 4 ended. When we last saw Will, he had returned to Philadelphia with his California Aunt and Uncle and cousins in tow. After attending a Phillies game and reenacting scene's from Rocky will finally confronts the very bully that sent him packing for cali in the first place. The first episode of season 5 leaves off with Will's dilemma of now that he has finally erased the unfair label of him being a chicken in philly, should he stay or should he go back to California. Other memorable episodes in Season 5, and there are many is Aunt Vivian and Uncle Phil's appearance on Soul Train, to commemorate their anniversary. Will Smith also shows his acting chops and shows his dramatic acting abilities in the episode where Will takes a bullet for Carlton. An image that still evokes emotion is the final scene of the episode where Will lays in a hospital bed and begins to cry after he convinces Carlton to hand over the gun he purchased to protect himself and his cousin Will. Season 5 introduces Will's new and through the rest of the season love interest Lisa played by Nia Long. Which results in even more hillarity. Especially Will's interaction with her father played by John Amos. ( Good Times)Ironically a little know fact is Jada Pinkett Smith was originally cast to play Lisa, but producers deemed her too short to play a love interest to Will who is 6'3 and chose Long instead.

If your a fan of the series, Season 5 is definetly a must have to add to your collection. The great thing about Fresh Prince is there isnt a weak season in the series and the show doesnt loose steam through it's 6 year run.

Ready for some great laughs?!?? Will Smith is one of my favorite actors, and I recently started watching Fresh Prince. My husband grew up watching this and we've been enjoying this season. The kids are growing up, trying to make their own decisions, and Will is (like always) charming the ladies. I love Carlton (he still dances!). There are times when the humor seems a bit forced, but for the most part, I love Will! He reminds me of Jim Carey, except I like his humor a bit more. :)

The above episode is just one of several fine episodes in this Fifth Season of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". The episode in question's titled "Will's Up A Dirt Road" - where Will, attempting to sell photos to a sleazy magazine, ends up being sued by guest-star Jay Leno. Will manages Ashley's singing career in a two-parter, which consists of the episodes "The Client" & "What's Will Got To Do With It". Phil & Vivian are invited on Soul Train for their anniversary, but Phil is reluctant to attend in the episode titled "Soooooooul Train", & Will takes Nicky (Ross Bagley) to see Nicky's favorite mascot Dougie the Whale in "Reality Bites". Nia Long joins the cast this season as Lisa, who dates Will, & Will comes to regret it in the episode "Will's Misery". Lisa defends Will from a harasser on a date in "Love Hurts", & Will looks to settle the score. Will meets Lisa's father (played by John Amos) in "Same Game, Next Season" - & the two hit it off real well until they end up spending way to much time together. It's "A Very Special..." episode where Will is shot attempting to defend Carlton from a gumman in "Bullets Over Bel-Air". Will, Carlton & Jazz find themselves stuck in an elevator in "Love In An Elevator" & Will has cold feet regarding his marriage to Lisa in "For Whom The Wedding Bell Tolls". This is a dramatic Fifth Season, which doesn't overshadow the comical moments one iota in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - The Complete Fifth Season". Get your very own copy of this DVD set today!

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbor hood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"
