I feel compelled to write a review because I like this product and I want to tell you about my experience.Short: Be gentle when opening and closing, and these containers will be fine. They are awesome and work great for meal preparation and storage! I'd also assume not to put them in a dish washer. I hand wash and they are fine.Long:I use this product almost solely for meal preparation, specifically salads. Sometimes I use them with leftovers to store in the fridge and freezer. They work extremely well. Just be GENTLE and PATIENT. Yes, they are somewhat flimsy, especially the lids. I cracked two lids trying to remove them from the containers when I first started using the product, BUT I started being GENTLER and more PATIENT when opening them and have not damaged any since my initial mishaps.For the record I am a 5'10" 170lb male, who is of more than average strength. I have used these containers every week for months without any damage, you can too. Just be gentle! I feel I have definitely got my money's worth out of the product, that's why I'm back to buy more.
