But it's exactly what I needed to trim the edge of a 1.5" workbench top made from two pieces of 3/4 MDF. Very smooth, very stable, and cut well.
As always, wear gloves when trying to remove the bit from the case--the Freud cases often hold the bit pretty tight, so don't try and grab this bit with your bare hands.
If you are going to use this as I did make sure you tape the top of the sink so the bearing doesn't mess up the finish.
I also used this to trim off about 1/16th" of the face frame on my sink cabinet. Once again, it delivered a nearly perfect finish (and it would have been perfect if my wife had not interrupted my routing). Never stop moving the router if you can!!
Keep it clean, simple green does a great job getting off the resin. Freud, as per usual, makes great tools and I can't think of any reason to buy a cheaper brand.
Had to join 3 pieces of butcher block to make an island, used this to remove the radius applied at the edges such that I could have square edges a the joints. Would purchase again.
