Sadie is feisty! Her story was something that can happen to anyone and it makes you relate to her as a character. She is the sister of a club member and doesn't know much about the MC world. She learns though.
Sapphire Knight has done it again with another awesome book! I have loved this entire series and she is on my must read list.
When Twist meets Sadie he's conflicted, he feels a possession like he hasn't felt in years. Twist isn't a honorable man anymore, he lost that when his wife and daughter were murdered, and he's the one to discover their bodies. That's a trauma in itself, but it set him on a path that erected walls of not caring for anyone, not even himself.
Sadie is instantly attracted and has a feeling of safety upon meeting Twist. She knows this hard and troubled man would never let hard come to her and her unborn baby. She wants to tear down his walls and help him become the man she sees deep down in the depths of his soul.
Needless to say Sadie's brother 2piece is not thrilled at this relationship blooming and has warned Twist away from his sister. Twist, knowing what lurks inside of himself is thinking real hard on taking his advice and hitting the road for good.
This love story is hit and miss, you get to see Twist demons and Sadie's revelations. This book is a must read. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! I recommend this book and series to anyone looking for a believable, feel like your there in the moment read. Way to go Sapphire!
Author Sapphire Knight is one amazing author, I loved Twist since the begining of her series there was always something that tugged at my heart for him, and I will say one thing this story will make you want to believe again in love and in the human soul, eveyone has past that haunts them but Twist's past is beyond haunting most people would have never survived. Sadie comes into his life and she is his light out of the darkness...do yourself a favor people get this series!..One last note...Sapphire will push the envelope in her storylines touch on dark subjects and you often wonder, how does someone think up this stuff...well they do because they are great writers!
Sadie shows up when she needs help the most. She turns to her brother a member of the Oath Keepers MC and the one person she has always been able to count on. What she doesn’t expect to find is Twist and she feels an instant connection to him. She has shown up pregnant and lost, unsure of what the future holds. While she is grateful for 2 Piece (her brother) taken her in she also gets irritated with his constant need to over protect her. It is a relationship that builds as the book goes on.
Twist and Sadie could not have been more perfect for one another. Twist is rough but not with Sadie. With her is different, gentle, loving, and caring. While is strong and loyal and believes in twist regardless of whether he believes in himself. She doesn’t take his crap either! She tells him straight up to stop doing some of the things he does. My favorite scene is when Sadie gives birth. It is just perfect while I will tell you there is plenty of heartbreaking scenes. There were moments for me when I had to put the book down and walk away for a minute.
Sapphire Knight doesn’t write fluff or sappy. No she gives you the real, dark and gritty life of not only an MC but love as well. It is messy and hurts like nothing else. However it is beautiful in the most unimaginable way. She pulls back the blinders and gives us that beauty while showing us characters that you can’t wait to know more about.
