How to clean your 3-in-1 humidifier:
disconnect + turn off your humidifier tank: fill the tank with [ 1cup] of water and add [1 cup] of [bleach/undiluted White vinegar].
tank: screw cap back on and let sit for approximately 20 minutes.
tank: after the 20 minutes Remove any residue or build-up by gently shaking the mixture back and forth.
base: pour a [generous amount] of [undiluted White vinegar] into the base of your cool mist Humidifier.
base: let sit for 20 minutes. Do not submerge the base into water.
base: after the 20 minutes Remove any residue or build-up by gently scrubbing by using a [soft bristle brush/ soft cloth]. Do not scrub or scrape the transducer. Rinse thoroughly.
if there is a leftover [bleach/undiluted White vinegar] smell rinse thoroughly using [1 Tbsp] of [hydrogen peroxide] and [1cup] of water.
gently spot clean your 360º mister and dry all components before placing them back together

clean your humidifier at least once per week.
if you are going to store your humidifier for any length of time, be sure to thoroughly clean and dry The unit before storing.
if you are using a humidifier after storing it for any length of time, thoroughly clean it before use.

Love the detachable plug but not much else

I bought this item because I love FridaBaby products. Im a serious fan and usually buys whatever they have that is new because its innovative and helpful.

My biggest problem with humidifiers are how hard it is to dry it properly and not having a detachable plug. I mean seriously who designs these things. I currently have a honeywell that has an opening so large i can fit my hand inside and wipe it dry.

Today I got the fridababy humidifier and was shocked. The opening to the water reservoir is the size of a quarter. Thats a very small space to encourage the reservoir to dry or clean properly. We plugged it in to see the night light and it was a pretty strong light. My understanding is the light is adjustable (on/off). If the reservoir had a generous opening to make cleaning accessible I would consider purchasing this product.

Im really sorry FridaBaby I usually love everything you make.

Please know that I did return this item without using it because I didn’t want to hassle with drying it out or return a used product.

Impossible to clean; will wake your baby if you’re not ninja careful

We bought 3 of these months ago (big mistake). We love this company, so we didn’t hesitate to purchase this product from them. But we were so wrong. Here is the breakdown about why it’s a horrible design: 1. You cannot clean the inside at all. It gets slimy and moldy. 2. You cannot fit the basin under a bathroom sink, so you have to pour water from a pitcher above to fill it. 3. When turning on the machine, it beeps and can wake your baby. 4. When it empties overnight, a bright blue light and loud beep occurs and can also wake your baby 5. When turning it on, there is a little touch light right next to the nob that if slightly touched, turns on a blue light, which can also wake your sleeping baby. Now, collectively these flaws make us want to just trash these machines, but they were pretty expensive. You’d think for a company that’s so advanced and parent focused they would have figured out these horrible flaws before production. All in all, save your money!!!!!

I had written a 5 star review but I’m coming back after owning this humidifier for about 4 months now. DO NOT PURCHASE. I clean this thing regularly. We use it every night. It’s great. It works well and compared to other humidifiers i liked it a lot. WELL my daughter has been sick for a month now and we can’t figure out why it’s not going away. I just took the water tank in the kitchen to refill it, there’s better lighting in there and I noticed on the bottom on the inside of the water tank it’s a weird color. The opening is very small so I couldn’t see but when I put my finger in there and tried to wipe some off, my finger came out BLACK with mold. It was slimy nasty thick mold! My baby has been breathing this in for months. I notice mold on the other parts after a few days of use but I’m very diligent about cleaning them with vinegar but you can’t get anything inside the tank to actually scrub it. So I’m almost 100% sure this is why she’s been sick. I’m so super frustrated. It’s a major design flaw.

I try to clean this thing every other day and it still somehow grows Mildew/Mold! And it’s everywhere! In the vent where the steam comes out, where the water that turns into steam sits, in the oil defused pan, on the inside. E-V-E-R-YWHERE! It sucks cause I love this company but this product just isn’t good for babies! They don’t need to breathe this in! I’m officially throwing it away. You could do better Frida...

Pros:

The mist is super powerful- I mean suuuuper- this baby pushes out so much mist at once even on low which is very impressive AND it lasts well over 10 hours on high! That was my biggest concern buying this product, will much mist even come out and will it last me overnight? YES!! It topped my expectations! I don't even know how that much comes out/lasts!!

Another pro is the easiness to use this product. (Minus the nightlight which I'll talk about below) Fill it, plug it in, set it and forget it! Simple on/off-low/high turning knob.

I really am happy that it also has the OPTION for a nightlight, I know a lot of these products usually don't have the option to turn it off.

Cons:

I didn't really believe the reviews that said it had a buzzing noise, I thought well maybe it sounds like a little fan... nope... they were right. It sounds like actual annoying buzzing, not a calm white noise fan sound that you would expect. It is rather quiet but for people who like to sleep in absolute silent, this isn't for you. Along with the buzzing it does produce bubbles one in a while, (which I found calming but others might not like) I personally like a little noise whatever it may be so I'm OK with these little noises.

Another problem I ran into was the diffusing part of this product- I put a normal 2-4 drops the first night and... nothing. No smell came out which was a bummer, this was the main reason I got this product. So the next night I put in a lot and I mean a LOT, and still nothing really happened except if I put my nose directly into the mist. It looked like the oils just sat on top of the water creating a line. After I kind of "stirred/shook" it I think it mixed into the water a little better and I get a tiny bit of smell, but not what I was expecting.

Another little con is the nightlight is very hard to use, it's not a button it's more of a touch sensor so it only picks up my finger maybe half the time I push it so it takes a while for me to get it on the right setting I want. (P.S. I'm bummed it only has three colors, blue, purple and green.)

Overall this product is OK! I think it would be best for a baby nursery of course but it does work out okay for me and it does the job. I will continue to use it to see if it improves!
