It's smart, It's Swedish, It's maybe a little strange. It's the doctor-invented nasal aspirator what actually works! To Use: Place large tube against child's nostril (not inside), creating a seal. Use red mouthpiece to snuck out snot. Tips: (1) Spraying saline solution in each nostril will help loosen thick mucus before using NoseFrida. (2) Move tube in a circular motion against nostril. You will hear and see mucus coming out of nose. (3) Change filter after each use to maintain suction.

It just rests at the entrance of the nostril. It actually works because you control the amount of vacuum pressure. Every baby needs to breathe through his/her nose to feed without difficulty and this definitely helps. It is super easy to clean and comes with disposable filters (probably any brand's replacement filter would work).
I checked this out many times when I was pregnant but it seemed so basic for 20 bucks. Little did I know. The boogies never hit the filter so we haven't changed it yet. And I take a little nasal saline on a baby q tip and clean up the crusties but this thing sucks. Maybe I'd use saline if the bogfies were dry but we use twice a day and always snag a good booger.
I'm officially the boogie monster now and proud of it. This should seriously be a gift for every new mom. I know it's going to be a godsend when she's sick.
It's really not that bad though! The snot gets no where near your mouth at all. It doesn't even get into the tube and stays in the containment area.
We used this on my 3 week old who got a cold from her big brother. At first it was hard to get anything out. The baby has to be very still to get the suction right. I would imagine it would be difficult to use this with just one person. Once you get the suction correct, it's rather surprising how well this works!
I tried to use this on my sick 3 year old as well but he was too strong to get the right suction. A bulb is easier for him because even if he moves around the bulb can be held tight. Since this just sits at the base of the nose, if there is too much movement it won't work. I'm not going to deduct any stars because it didn't work on my son. I can't take his temperature either and the safety factor of this would be compromised if the design was changed. Just know if you have bigger, strong children, this may not work that well.
Also, do not block the child's other nostril when using this. It would make their ears pop, which is uncomfortable even for adults.
Overall, great product. I am very happy I found something to use that I don't need to worry about molding over like the bulbs. If you were hesitant to purchase this due to the gross factor, don't! It's great and works amazingly. My sick 3 week old slept 6 hours straight after using it.

What I like about it:
- You don’t have to insert it far into the nostril, just at the edge
- It has a filter to prevent bacteria travelling from your mouth. There are 3 extra filters in the package
- You can rinse it easily after use (which you should)
What I don't like about it:
- No baby would like you suctioning their nose, so they will cry!
Should you buy it?
- YES, definitely
- To make mucus softer, you can use Saline nasal drops before using the aspirator

“Why was this the first time I’ve heard of this?... What, Babies don’t blow their nose? Is it too late to change my mind?”
All things I thought as I gagged and looked at my friend in disbelief. “There is no way that my mouth will be doing that. Ever.”
Fast forward to baby being 5 months old and experiencing her first cold. I’ve been holding onto this little treasure since she was a month old, waiting (and dreading), it’s first use. She’s miserable. She’s grunting and while the snot bubble expanding and retracting with each breath is adorable, it’s time...
Tentatively husband held her down and I went in for the attack with saline and the snot sucker. A few seconds later (and saline everywhere but in her nose), I was sucking like I was trying to down the last few drops of a McDonalds shake...SUCCESS! A tube filled with snot and (mercifully), none near my mouth.
Buy this! You will need it. When your baby is struggling to breathe, you will be thankful for the comfort you can provide.
Keep in mind, all of the videos show this being used on a baby who has clearly been tranquilized and is peaceful and zen. The true experience is much more likened to wrestling a velociraptor covered in baby oil. Remember that when your partner asks you why you sprayed saline in babies face, rather than their nose...
We use the nose drops before, which definitely help loosen up everything. 2 drops, wait a few minutes and then see what comes out.
Anyone grossed out by the thought of sucking up a mouth full of it, don’t be. There is no chance you can get any of the in your mouth. Not possible.
I brought the spare filters but I doubt i’ll ever use them. I just wash out the plastic bit after each use.
I think as parents we can all agree that it's horrible to see our babies struggling to breathe with a cold, especially at night and without the ability to clear/blow their noses.
I tried using this product when it arrived but my baby cried and I felt cruel so stopped. I then persevered today as my baby's nose is so full, I used saline drops to soften his bogies first then used the aspirator and cleared his nose. As a mama I am relieved to see my baby able to feed and breathe more easily. I highly reccomend this product, alongside saline drops.
The photo clearly shows that the blue nozil that inserts into the baby’s nose is uneven with sharp edges that could potentially damage a baby’s/child’s nasal lining.
Also, this product was packaged in a small cardboard box only, we have previously bought this product a clear plastic case was also supplied to store the aspirator.
I would not recommend this product as I do not believe it is a genuine product. Unable to select zero stars!
I returned this product to amazon and was refunded without issue.
Fits in a portable case, easy to clean and use - comes with replacement filters which I havent even had to use yet
Using the snot sucker is easy. Stick it in bambino's nose and suck out the other end. Make sure you have the sponge filter attached as otherwise gooey baby snot comes your way! It is useful to suck out a large amount of bogeys and help clear up the little one's nose. It must feel funny for them as they don't always like it, but as my bambino got older and realises what the snot sucker is, he calls for it when his nose is bunged. So it's a nice bonding experience too, father and son snot removal.
Main thing is it works great and will definitely help your child during the winter months when we all get ill!
Never heard of this before but I wish I did!
Helps so much.
Hated seeing my nephew struggling breath because of his blocked nose was difficult to feed him with him only being able to breath from his mouth he'd be up constantly with his cold..
For anyone who's worried about sucking up the bogeys YOU DON'T! There's a little stopper at the top where your mouth goes so bogeys don't leave the tube!
This aspirator doesn't look as fancy as the other ones I've seen but I'm sure it works just the same so I wouldnt waste your money on the dearer models..
Very easy to clean, Comes with extra filters too!
I definitely recommend has helped so much!
