This book was very interesting. It kept you in the zone the whole time. Reading it as a football player, you can almost feel what the characters are going through. Even if you're not a football player or an athlete in general, this book you about what each character goes through including a couple episodes at the end of the book. I found it interesting how Tim Riggins, the Panthers Full back, got by on his own with his brother. His parents left him and he took care of himself with a little help from his older brother. There is a lot of drama surrounding this book's story line, and it's a great one too. It captures a perfect Texas high school football in action and behind the scenes from just the football, but school, at home, or at the hangout spots. I highly recommend this book for the fact that it's spot on entertaining. Just read it and you'll find out why.

Mixed in with informative essays and explanations of how the show came to be, details of casting and filming, are short chapters entitled "Why We Love ___," one for each character. It was great fun to remember the stories, crises, interactions, and teen-aged disasters for each person we cared about so much. I often laughed out loud remembering the script or situation, the Texas-weird language. It's a wonderful book.

These are knowledgeable essays, NOT fan talk. Written by reviewers and writers who know the industry.

Really defines each character in depth and gives you great understanding as to the whys and why nots and what makes them who they are and who they strive to be. After watching the series, it is a "must have" and for me it took me back to watch certain segments of the series.

This was fun. Nice to read material from writers who are die hard FNL fans and really really watched the show.

I bought this in the midst of my grieving after the show's final episode and season. I thought it'd allow me to hold on just a bit longer to the characters who felt more like intimate friends. Their passing and the show's end has felt anything but fictional. I never imagined a TV show could be sacred, but this is, offering up a kind of scripture to clear our eyes and fill our hearts. The essays are fun, insightful and, like the show, often deeply heartfelt. You can't lose.
