Now, though it is an ADULT fairytale, with a child like approach, I am very PROUD that I will consider this a TEACHING TOOL for those who deal with and/or mentor LGBT youth. Plus, this book encourages those who are NON LGBT to create dialog and it opens discussion which can aid in bridging the gap between hetero and homo attractional communities.
My favorite part of the book is when all the characters have to EARN their pass into 'The Raging Queen' and by doing so, "Sissy Sammy" outlines and highlight some of the most influencial people in LGBT history.
This book, "Sissy Sammy in the land of WEHO 90069" is a QUICK READ but holds lots of fun and fabulous information that will stimulate and cultivate one's mind into learning about LGBT issues and increase the tolerance levels of our society! I, HIGHLY, RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR EVERYONE
