This refrigerator has some good features and looks great. The external temperature displays for both the freezer and cooling sections of the refrigerator are good additions. The non-marking stainless looks better than many "gray" non-marking stainless exteriors on the market. The chrome accented handles are sharp looking and the gray sides are far better looking than the usual black sides of most modestly priced units.

The plastic trays glide easily after about a month of use... they were really difficult to use in the first week.

Now for the two unpleasant areas that fell short of normal expectations. This refrigerator makes the strangest noises. I'm not referring to the normal running of the compressor, as two service calls by a technician within the first two weeks took care of the loud vibrations... first a fan and second a vibrating wiring harness. This refrigerator makes more strange noises than I've ever heard from a refrigerator... and I'm 70 years old!

The ice dispenser is terrible... and we've had two months of "practice" using the unit! It "over dispenses" on a regular basis... and I mean "over dispenses" enough that ice cubes fill the glass and continue to overflow onto the floor. Oh, we've tried to limit the avalanche of ice cubes by applying short or quick taps on the dispenser "paddle". This approach will often leave two or three ice cubes within the dispensing chute, which will begin to melt and fuse together, The result of this creates a blockage for the next ice dispensing, which makes a large build-up of ice cubes, initiating an alarm to sound.

I had this refrigerator for 9 months and the ice maker had to be repaired it sticks and jams and ice flies everywhere after it was repaired it still does not dispense ice properly the ice bucket never fills up it takes days to get some ice there is no cold water resovoir like my old refrigerator the water is always warm the water filter needed to be replaced less then a year and the drawers and shelves are made out of cheap plastic and the ice machine makes a lot of noise. Its supposed to be smudge proof it's not I have to constantly wipe off fingerprints. I would not recommend this refrigerator.

I purchased this refrigerator which came with a 12 month warranty. The refrigerator quit working at 14 months. Frigidaire would only cover the parts, not the labor or diagnosis of their appliance. Total rip off and shoddy manufacturing. It will be the last appliance I buy with the name Frigidaire on it.
A company that doesn't back up their products.

This is the most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased. Seven months later, I am very sorry I did. #1) it makes about 30 different noises. You never know what new one is going to pop up. If there is a strange noise in the house, I now know...go look at the fridge. #2) the drawer makes the most God awful squeal you have ever heard when you pull it out or push it in. #3) You think you are getting a stainless steel fridge on three sides. Wrong: the doors are stainless steel and the sides are painted a color to SORT OF match the doors except with a green tinge to it. #4) after 5 months, the lights in the door dispenser, signaling types of ice, are now out. THE WORST #5) has just started happening starting at about 6 1/2 months in. It suddenly made a really loud noise when the fan came on. I read another reviewer who said the design of the water pouring into the ice maker is poor and it sends water right behind the back metal panels, straight to where all of the workings of the freezer are, including the fan. So, the noise is the fan being hit by the build up of ice in a place you cannot easily reach. The reviewer said every 6 months they have to have a major cleaning of the ice. Well, I just got finished doing that exact thing because the ice build-up was horrible. It is not easy to do because the shelves do not come out. So, we removed the bottom back panel and removed the two most bottom screws on the upper panel in order to access the fan. We turned off the electricity to do this. HUGE blocks of ice at least an inch thick and a good 12 inches long. All of this pushing down onto the fan. We had to wait for everything inside to melt enough to allow the ice to begin to fall as you cannot reach up higher to get at it due to the ice maker being in the way.Read more ›

Loved my Frigidaire for about a year and a half. Now I hate it. Refrigerator stopped working, after the one year (what-a-joke) warranty wore out. The refrigerator is less than two years old. How does it stop working in less than two years? We had an old refrigerator, nothing fancy, that never gave us problems in the 6 years we had it. Ever. This brand new POS, on the other hand, is forcing us, for the second time in three months, to live out of two coolers, buying ice in the morning and evening just to keep the perishables from perishing while we wait for the extended warranty company to get their act together. Great job, Frigidaire. Great job. Never again.
