I gave the PRODUCT 1 star because of the answers given by Frigidaire Reps, that it was expressed to me that this problem can happen on the WF3CB model -- the sister filter for different refrigerator models, but by all appearances, the same and probably the same internals.
I had purchased 2 (and yes, the units I received from the Supplier all state "Genuine Frigidaire', sealed, and have exactly the same packaging as those sold at Lowe's and on the Frigidaire website, GREAT SUPPLIER!
Replaced my filter, and flushed with 3-5gal of water (they only recommend 1.5gal). Removed taste and ran water -- water appeared as clear, but I did not check really close. However, if you let the filter sit for a day or so in the refrigerator, the next time I got a glass of water it was cloudy -- significantly. I re-flushed filter, waited, cloudy again -- and I did this for a week. This is not air as air leaves in 30mni-1hr and you can accelerate getting rid of the air by heating -- did both, Never cleared. So, figured bad filter, and replaced again ---- using a sealed, genuine part as described' and had exactly the same issue.
Called Frigidaire. They are aware of this problem with other filters in their product line, and actually read about these problems on Amazon. They said the periodically, they have seen this problem, bad lot, etc. There does not seem to be a lot id, so cannot confirm mfg date.
They said that they would only guarantee if I purchased directly from them. They said that if I purchased from a 3rd party, then they claim we could have a bad filter. (even 3rd party like Lowe's where they sell refrigerator + same filters -- the packaging and unit are exactly the same as on the Frigidaire website). The person I talked to could not answer the question of why ALL of their units (purchased only from the Frigidaire website) would work, but maybe not from a 3rd party through Amazon or Lowe's -- If there is a periodic problem, then seems you would have the same probability of bad ones as any one else.
They said that this problem can occur even if the filter has been sitting in a box (sealed) for a "long time", yet, they do not indicate (and I cannot find it) if there might be an expiration date.
Supplier cannot be held responsible for faulty product in sealed packaging. So, rather than taking more risks at some 35/unit I purchased a bypass (has no filter at all), and will be using an external Aquasana filter on the inlet side.
Good luck with your filters, and check them for cloudy water. We need to make Frigidaire aware of this and to improve their quality, so report the issue with the product. I have no clue what the chemical content of the 'cloud' would be, other than guessing they are bits of ion exchange resins that are used to do the filtering. Did not appear to be to look like 'carbon'.

4 Stars because the package arrived a little damaged... luckly not the product. Wish they had put some additional protection to the product.
