An understanding of the sport doesn't seem to be completely necessary to the immersion process. Like all the other elements of his writing, golf just adds to the color and contrast of the storyline.
In short, the books provide a familiar and welcome common thread to golf lovers, and a tantalizing read to anyone else. I look forward to Greg's next release!
A note to non-golfers: The sport is itself like a story, constantly retold, yet never the same. It provides exercise, drama and beauty. Every visit to the course is a new adventure. Give it a try!
obvious love for the game made the stories a treat and somehow yet believable. I would recommend it to any experienced golfer.
