Love any of the Great Walks books, I think I own at least 4 of them. Really they are the ones I put in my pack as I leave the flat, hotel or B&B. I feel that each time I see more then the classic tourist. On each walk I also veer off and see other interesting places. My only minor complaint is that the allotted times aren't that relevant for me. Many times a walk will be listed as 2 hours and I could be following it for 4. I do stop for photos all the time and pop into more alleyways then the average person I guess, so maybe if you just walked and didn't dally it would be accurate, but what's the fun in that!
