This brand cost more, almost double, but they fit as they should with a lot of effort and extra hands and pry bars to lower the suspension arm down and large screwdrivers to try to help align the holes. There was no way I could install these alone at all.
Note about the non threaded holes for brake hose and for speed sensor cable, the old bolt cuts new threads into non threaded holes and works perfectly. No need to get upset and run to hardware store for different bolts.
The springs on these had the same amount of turns as stock and the bellow cover everything unlike Monroe.
The only way either brand struts would be plug n play is if they were about an inch and a half shorter. Even with a 3 foot pry bar I could only move the control arm down about three quarters of and inch.
I almost was going to rent spring compressors to get these installed.
They appear to be of decent quality for a no name brand to me. Time will tell how well they are built. The ride will always raise your vehicle because coil springs sag with time. My application was replacing stock twenty year old struts that had a failed lower spring support the allowed the spring and lower support to sit and ride on top of shoulder of drivers side tire. It rusted out where the weld is that hold the cradle to the strut.
I did notice with both brands the placement of the steer knuckle clamp was lower on the strut than stock oem was. Monroe was off the most. There are not enough buying options to find the exact fitment as oem, so we made these fit. Other than installing them and fitment issues, the wrong length will only affect the half axle and tie rods when the car is hoisted off of the ground. I did install springs over shocks new on back of the car when we first bought it as the rear air ride shocks were blown out. They raised the rear of the car a lot, so now the car sits up evenly with new coil springs in the front.
I was glad these struts were sold as a pair as they should match the closest in ride and it forces you to replace both as they should be.
So far all is good. Should they fail, I'll be back to update for you.

Cons: Two major flaws, both unacceptable, that the manufacturer needs to fix:
1) Ride Height -- as mentioned in many other reviews, these lifted the front end significantly from the stock struts. I measured the ride height before and after installing these and they lifted the front end a full 2 inches higher at the wheel well, changing the look of the car noticeably. A direct replacement part should not alter either the form or function of a vehicle unless they were specifically designed to do so. A change of a half inch in ride height could be considered acceptable, but a full two inches is not.
2) The other problem I ran into was the bolt holes for attaching the mounting brackets for the brake hose and the ABS harness were not threaded like the originals (see pics). I had to stop the installation and go to the hardware store to get some 5/16" bolts and lock nuts to secure the mounting brackets onto the struts. Another unacceptable flaw.
Bottom line: With a name like Detroit Axle (yes, I know they're made in China), these should be manufactured to closer tolerances and more attention paid to duplicating the OEM parts. Just installed so too early to tell how long they'll last.
Would I buy these again? Probably not, unless I knew these problems were fixed.

After reading the reviews on these struts and other sellers struts, the main issue seems to be the ride height / raise of the front end after installation. I went ahead and ordered these with the expectation of a slight rise in height.
Here is my review of the struts:
Shipping: Took less than 2 days to receive, Came well packaged and no damage.
Installation: installation was pretty straight forward and simple. Took me a couple hours, while taking my time.
Ride: Great improvement with the ride and steering going down the road. No more clunking going over the slightest bumps in the road.
Ride Height - As for the ride height question. Before the installation I measured the height of my front fender well. From the ground (center of tire) to the bottom of the fender well 28 3/4in. After the install it measured, 32 1/4. The ride height was increased about 2 1/2 inches.
Appearance: The increase wasn't that noticeable and looked "OK". And most people wouldn't notice. Unless your a little OCD like me.
Resolution: I took the struts back out of my car, went to Auto Zone and rented a strut spring compressor. I then swapped the springs from the OEM struts with the new struts. After reinstalling Into the car, the new ride height was 29 1/2. About 3/4 in higher than I started, and the car now sits perfectly level. The ride is actually a little softer ride with the OEM springs. (a little more to my liking).
*Note the new strut springs were about 2.5 in taller than the OEM springs. The new springs had 5 coils in them and he OEMs had 4 coils.
This is my 2cents, take it for what is worth. This is a great product, and I would defiantly buy them again. If you are at all worried about the appearance or the ride height, rent yourself a spring compressor and swap springs before you install them.
I took measurements before and after installation
