This product is a great value compared to some of the other plant blankets on the market. It is simple to use and seems to breath just fine. Just make sure to completely cover the plant from top to bottom, as with all blankets or it will defeat the purpose

After trying two apparently woven fabrics from my local garden center as a cover to allow the sun through but keep (specifically) the "cabbage moths" off my cabbage and rutabaga plants, and having them fail due to sun or heat, I tried this material obtained through Amazon and it held up for the rest of the season. I wound up with unblemished rutabagas up to 6" and unblemished cabbage which was small, possibly because it was in the back part of the covered bed, away from the sun, but it was perfect. A big family of vegetables are affected by these moths (actually butterflies) so keep it in mind.

Since they arrived, the weather has been quite pleasant and balmy. However, Texas weather has been known to tank in a day. So I'm hoping they are magic blankets and that they are keeping the cold weather at bay.

I have now used the blankets, and can say that I am extremely satisfied with them. Freezing rain, nighttime temp of 29, winds strong enough to break limbs from trees and my Azaleas, Hidrangers, and herbs look just fine.

Very happy.

I bought several of these blankets a couple months ago, and am buying several more. The blankets are huge, so I cut them in smaller pieces for my small plants and shrubs. For larger areas, I use a whole sheet. Very happy with my purchase!

I got my first ever winter garden put in late...on Thanksgiving Day this year!
So I thought I'd try to protect my "babies" with the Frost Blanket and some some short sticks to prop it up.
My plants are thriving in the 60 degree California days, and protected during the Frosty nights.
Thanks for the help with my first ever winter garden. Can't wait to enjoy my own heirloom kale and bok choi, kohl rabi and spinach, chard and broccoli and turnips! :)

I like the fact that the cover is large so it can cover a small tree. The price is so much better than the ones I bought at a local chain nursery. The shipping is expensive, though. I bought 2 packs and was charged with a flat rate so it wasn't as bad as I thought.

I use it to protect a large flowering plant during the winter. The plant is in an insulated pot to keep the roots protected. The cover is used when the temperature drops below freezing. It is the end of December and the plant continues to bloom!
