I enjoyed this time-travel short story and will be reading the next one when it comes out. Portals, guardians, ancient Egypt, a glimpse into a dystopian future and more... OH, and a cat.

A very cute short story that i enjoyed reading. It is a good prequel with a lot to offer. It was a fast easy read. The setting is nice and the characters are easy to feel with and to follow. even if I enjoyed reading this story, it didnt really leave me with anything. It is not very rememberable and it didnt really made me jump up and down wanting more. It was a good read when you just want something quick and easy and for that I can recommend it. It is a nice story but it is one out of a million stories that feels the same.

I like the setting and how the author uses the language to describe things that is going on. The setting was, or maybe is the best with this story.

Over all a readable book that you read in one go. Easy to pick up, easy to put down when finished and move on to other books.

Interesting beginning!

When Khira comes across a special Christmas ornament hidden until her cat Dodo accidentally knocks it over, her world is about to change.

This is not an ordinary ornament and what's inside will take Khira places she never imagined but what is the cost?

This was an interesting book dealing with time travel and a bit of a different take on it with what was involved.

I liked Khira and I felt bad that her innocent and sweet heart ended up getting her into trouble. She was trying to be helpful towards Mal but he tricked her.

Dodo was awesome and was definitely a protector and I liked how he was able to follow Khira.

This was a great introduction to the series and I certainly hope that Khira is able to get out from where she is.
