Both the flowers and the fruit are produced at a very young age. Salavatski is very heat tolerant, prefers full sun for best fruit production but will tolerate some light shade. Very drought tolerant once established. It is adaptable to any type of well drained soil. The tree is self-fruitful but production is increased with a second tree planted nearby.
