He was “borrowing” my 3X Hanes Her Way sweat pants that fit me well (I out weigh him by at least 60 lbs). Needless to say he looked like a clown.
He had worn my lovely sweats to the hospital and while the surgery was progressing, I quickly ordered the Fruit of The Loom described in the posting. My husband had been perusing a website where the clothing is fantastic and made in the USA. The sweat pants also cost between $70-80 per pair. He decided that we were coming into spring/summer and since he probably wouldn’ Wear them out of the house post recovery time, why spend the money.
Well I decided that I wanted a pair that didn’ Look like clown pants on him and the first pair was around $12 bucks. It came in about 3 days, but it was great. My hubby complained at first, but they fit well and looked soooo much better- plus they had a string in the waist which mine lacked.
As predicted, he laid them aside after surgery until now. The cold Chicago fall is turning into winter like weather and it is cold in our apartment. It’s the 3rd day of watching him wear those same sweat pants and we finally got them in the wash. “What? Another pair? Why? We can just wash these!”
Despite the obvious enchantment of seeing him run around in his boxers for two hours, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and spend the now bargain price of $19 (prime) and add a black pair to his wardrobe. Will I tell him! Of course not.
I will wash them and they will “miraculously “ appear in the rotation.
No fuss with little muss.
Hmm... I was going to write that if you have bigger hips you should order bigger than typical waist size. No need. In reviewing my order, it seems I accidentally ordered a size smaller than what I usually order. They are a bit tight, but comfortable as in how jeans fit. I have been losing weight, if it hasn't been showing up when measuring waste, or so it seemed. I am going to have to say... I think these things fit just about exactly as they should, now that I cleared that up. Well, and I actually feel better, even if my waste measurement continues to tell me otherwise about my size. Take it where you can get it.
Pajamas to pants, these really impressed me. And, yeah, I am picky. Actually, I would have no other problem, than ego, of wearing these downtown. To me, I have made them into my pajamas and wearing pajamas out just seems... wrong.
Thank you, Fruit of the Loom! Wonderful. Encore!
Update - After a year and change, I have decided these are the perfect house pants/winter pajamas. They have lasted as well as I could have hoped, and more really, fit like I prefer, wash easily, and wear comfortably. I have decided to buy two more pair. A couple of pair a year will see me in good supply. I'm mostly waiting to die, but it seems as if I have a longer wait than what the docs freaked out about, so... might as well be comfortable. Just because you could be on the heart transplant list, and they missed it for twenty years, doesn't meant you are going to die any time soon. Probably. *grins*
As other reviews indicate, the sweats are a bit long. Maybe an extra 1" - 1 1/2", but for $9... Does it really matter that much?
No frills. Good fitting. Affordable. I would buy them again. I would also recommend them.
If you're handy with a sewing machine you can't lose.
