They break down fashion essentials, terms, archetypes with steez and reinvent everything you thought you knew about men's fashion. This book doesn't show you how to drip, it is the drip. The price is worth it just for the reaction of amazement it gets when people see it on my coffee table and think, "Wow, this guy is cultured." You want to have a quarter life crisis and start copping dead stock jawns at an alarming rate? Boom - this is your book. Call it.

As other reviews have mentioned and hinted at, you shouldn't pick this up if you expect actual menswear "knowledge". Most of this book involves menswear photography paired with something resembling poetry coming from a guy a little too obsessed with hypebeast slang. I could forgive this if the book was funny or interesting, but even as light coffee table material, it falls pretty flat.

Overall, would not recommend. Anyone who finds this kind of thing amusing has probably gotten their fill of it on the blogs this book cribs from.

Was really looking forward to getting this on pre-order.... but when I opened the packet this morning the book is slightly damaged. The edges look scratched and the cover has some sort of glue stain on it and loads of tiny marks on it. Wasn't wrapped in plastic to protect it so I'm a little disappointed and I love buying big art and design books and am quite pleased with my little library so far but this isn't one of them.
That being said the content of the book is fantastic, very tongue-in-cheek but also insightful and useful. It's a great read and for someone in the industry I found it a light hearted pleasure. Very cool

If you know something about menswear, have a styleforvm account, read blogs, or own an unstructured blogger blue jacket, then get this book. It's full of in-crowd humor and good pictures.
