When I picked this book up I was still student teaching and discovering my trajectory as a teacher. This book was eye opening and heartwarming to say the least.
To read the stories that educators choose to share is inspiring. I have learned a lot from this book about the profession I found is my calling. I also found that I come back to some of my favorite stories for inspiration or when I need a pick me up after a tough day.
Even if you are not in education, especially if you are not in education, I strongly urge you to pick up this book. We trust educators to teach and guide our children it’s important we understand just how serious they take it, how compassionate they are about it, and how reflective they are.
