I love my X100. Best camera I've ever owned that gives me a desire to take photographs. The look and feel of a rangefinder camera makes the X100 a compelling camera.

The leather case makes it more so!

$139? Compared to the camera price, it's about 13% of the cost of the X100. Perhaps that makes it more palatable. By itself it's a hefty price for a case. However, once you put the case on the camera you forget the cost as emotions take over and you realize the case and camera were made for each other. They are both crafted and designed well, both needing each other to complete the look, feel, and emotion of owning the X100.

The case is made well, and should last for many years if treated right. It works as it should, and will give passerbys more reason to stop and ask how old your classic camera is around your neck. :)

Based on early reviews I had my reservations, but this case is well thought out and works well. A slight flaw in the stitching, otherwise quality is excellent. The leather is not rich and natural, but it is real leather. The functionality is better than expected -- quite intuitive. I just spent a month tromping the beaches of Nova Scotia in wind and fog, and the case provided perfect protection. Recommended.

This case is awesome. I got it as a present so not sure which store it came from, but it came in a nice black box and I'm pretty sure that mine is authentic as it's very well designed! I've read some people got a fake one that doesn't fit their camera perfectly... it should, mine does, and that's the whole point of a case like this!

From completely protecting your camera to taking a picture is 1 second. You just lift the magnetic flap on the bottom and lift the front protection over and under. You can even put the lens cap away and use this case instead as you walk around. The front center part is flat and hard so the lens is safe. The case is made of two parts. And you can remove and put back the front part very quickly as it's secured by two snap buttons. I usually take it off and put it in my backpack as it's kind of weird the way it's just hanging down there...

The bottom part is also easy to remove/put back, and you need to do that when you wish to change the battery or the card. Bottom is nice and flat so you can set the camera on the concrete without scratching the fragile aluminum. This camera is so easy to show signs of wear even after a gentle use when not using it with the case. The aluminum (or whatever metal this is) is like a dent magnet. Slightly brushed against it with my keyboard the other day and it got a scratch... but whatever, the camera is a tool even if this one's also a good looking one. Using this case looks like will keep it in one piece for a longer time, which is a good thing because I love this camera and it doesn't have any alternatives on the market at the moment.

I like the case because it's there when you need it and quick to get out of the way when you want to take a picture. Oh and it maintains the same style as the camera.

The case really looks nice, and is very well made. The original picture showed a brown case but the one I received was black. Upset at first, but seller made it right. Used the case a couple of times and finally took it off camera and went to a molded protector. The case makes the camera not ready when you see a quick shot. It was just too much trouble to take off the top cover.

Like I said the case is beautiful and makes the camera look very expensive. I wish it didn't say FUJI on front, people would assume it was a Leica if it was blank. Also be advised the case is very stiff leather. Price is high, but quality is good.

Nice leather case for Fujifilm Finepix x100. Doesn't close completely if you have a the adapter ring and standard 49mm filter. I bought the B+W XS-Pro digital filter and it closes. I only wish the bottom has an opening so i don't need to take the whole case off in order to access the battery/memory card.

I ride a bike to work, so protecting my camera is important. I also have always felt that the X100 is "slightly" small for me. This case cured both problems. The lower half-case gives it a slight bit of extra thickness to help with grip. It also adds a little weight, which I like since it makes the camera feel more like my Leica. The top cover won't fit with the lens-hood attached, but I don't use the hood anymore so that's not an issue for me. With the top cover on, I can toss it in my backpack without worries. Oh yeah, it also came with a leather strap, which seems fine, but I prefer my domke gripper strap.

The only real downside to this case is you have to take it off to access the battery and sd card, or usb ports on the side, which, if you do that often can be a pain. For me, it's not a big deal.

The case's quality is superb. The leather feel nice. Stitching is clean. However, there are couple things that bugs me.

1. You have to take out the bottom half every single time you want to change a battery or memory card.
2. The top half (the one that covers front/lens part of the camera) is great but it won't fit when lens hood is mounted. It works just fine with the filter/lens hood adapter on though. Also the "FujiFilm" printing in front is kinda cheesy.
3. Strap is so so. It works but I'd rather order a Leica strap which works 100 times better.

This case works, but if you do some research you will find out that there are many more 'better' choices out there.
