This medium telephoto lens with a focal length equivalent to 87mm in the 35mm format offers fantastic bokeh thanks to its large F2 aperture, making it the perfect portrait lens. Using four ED lens elements, this high image quality lens limits chromatic aberrations by arranging the elements in a well-balanced manner before and after the aperture. By adopting an inner focusing AF system for the optimal configuration, aberration fluctuations due to changes in shooting distance are suppressed.
Beautiful bokeh
By adopting a construction including 14 elements in 9 groups, including 4 ED lens elements, spherical aberrations and chromatic aberrations are suppressed. Nine rounded aperture blades create a beautiful bokeh at both the front and back which enables the rich expression of out of focus areas unique to medium format lenses.
Fast and quiet AF
A linear motor drives the autofocus, allowing for fast and quiet shooting using the AF.

The lens has been sealed in nine areas, allowing you to shoot with stability even in dusty environments and in light rain outodoors.
High operability: The aperture ring has a C position (command dial mode) that allows the lens aperture value to be changed via the command dial on the camera body to suit the photographer’s preference. A locking mechanism has been added to the A (Auto) and C positions to prevent unintended movements of the aperture dial.

Spectacular lens, chose this over the macro 120
I was a bit undecided on whether to buy the Fuji 120mm f4 macro, because I like to get close or this 110mm with a f2. I read all the reviews and as someone who loves shallow depth of field, I chose this lens. Between this and my Fuji 45mm f2.8, I find I'm using this more. It is a spectacular lens nd has given me amazing results. In combination with My GFX-100s the detail and texture captured are amazing. This is not a lightweight lens although the supplied hood makes it appear to be a lot larger than it is. The aperture can be adjusted manually by turning the aperture ring or set the ring to "C" and adjust it from controls on the camera. I bought a 77mm close-up lens filter set and this solved my need to get close. Those close-up lens sets are cheap , work great and helped me to choose this over the 120 f4. You should also understand that in medium format F2 has a shallower depth of field than F2 on a lens for full frame. Exposure may be the same but depth of field is not.
