Two classics in one. How can you go wrong? The discs for each movie are separate and not on the same disc, which is great if you want to share with your friends. The Shining had some extra scenes which I don't remember when I watched it last. Jack Nicholson is at his best. I would suggest seeing this movie if you are going to read "Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King, though not necessary, it lays a good background for the book.
Full Metal Jacket is a horror movie in ways in itself. It is a very tense drama (starring Matthew Modine Vision Quest) about war and it's physical AND mental tragedies. Both films, in my opinion, are excellent.

Got for my husband. He likes Jack ... I prefer him in his later movies.

Priceless! Full Metal Jacket has more fun and drama in 10 minutes than many Marvel and DC movies, Jack's performance in THE SHINING, pure gold

Two classics for the price of one, who could pass that up? Both movies are iconic for many reasons and must be seen and re-seen to be fully appreciated.

I bought this for full metal jacket and then a month later they put it on netflix ...got what i paid for though

Its a DVD... i mean, it played in my player just fine. 4 stars because its not a 4k copy.
