- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2024This book is for married Christian (male and female) couples. It shows why it is important to trust God for EVERYTHING.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2015What an ignored subject among Christians! I'm so glad that I read this book. I bought it being mostly convinced that God did not approve of birth control (from reading Scripture), but wanting solid, condensed Bible verses in one place. I was not disappointed.
The entire book was engaging, witty, and from the heart. Some parts (such as the chapter or two on historical figures born into large families) I did not find as interesting, but all chapters were well-written.
Ultimately, the writers start from the Bible (sadly, not AV, though) and work their way up, providing a solid argument for a proper view of family.
I recommend this book to all who come to God with open hearts looking for whatever His answer will be on this issue.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2016Excellent book, clearly written with both the perspective of a Christian husband and wife, The Hess'. This book takes a firm stance on allowing God to be the head of family planning for the Christian marriage. Many questions are answered. Challenges every secular viewpoint that one was ever taught or exposed to regarding children, intimacy, large families and family planning. GREAT BOOK! Very encouraging!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2012This book is direct insight to the plan and design the Bible has created family planning to be. This book is written(mostly) by a man, so it has more male language then female language but it is still correct. However, when reading this book, directly afterwards, I read Nancy Campbell's, "Be Fruitful and Multiply". I believe both books should be read together.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2014Good information and loved reading how others deal with all situations in a Christian manner. The book was filled with hope, love, kindness, and true facts. So many should read this amazing book it could give real hope to those who are confused on Letting go and letting God. Thumbs up for me !!!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2014This is a controversial topic, but I believe that for those of us who call Christ Lord, He should be Lord in every area of our lives. That includes what our culture likes to call "family planning." Almost all of us do recognize our existing children as His precious blessings, but too many of us do not recognize His right to grant us more should He wish to do so, nor His promise to protect and provide for us in accordance with His will, because we have adopted our culture's false notions that children are burdensome, cost too much money, need all sorts of things, and pollute and impoverish the earth. This book tries to cut through as much of this unbiblical nonsense as possible, and to restate the biblical case against "birth control" as it has been understood by practicing Christians since the time of Christ. This will likely not persuade those who are not Christians and do not accept the authority of Scripture, but, for those who do, yet struggle with the idea of who or Who should be planning their families, I would highly recommend this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2013I like this book. It explains how Christians have accepted the world's view of children and not God's view. God's view is always different than the worlds. I recommend that all Married couples desiring the will of God in their lives read this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2013One of the best books I have ever read. If you are considering what the Lord intends for your family, this is a must read. Some of the statistics are old, but the scripture and meaning is unsurpased!

Unanswerable and interesting arguments for large and successful families from Scripture. A good read for all who are considering children a blessing.
