4 Separate Pieces / Storage ?
I haven't used this Mandoline yet. I received it in perfect condition, took out the box, separated all the pieces and hand washed (I don't use my dishwasher ever). After drying, had to figure out how to put it all back together - I got the Mandoline 11-n-1. The manual that shows how to organize it wasn't very clear - to me - but I figured it out. That's when I realized the whole thing is actually 4 individual pieces and doesn't all fit together as ONE. So that means every utensil is exposed. I thought - for some reason - that it would all package up as a whole unit. It does not.So I have to store it as you see in the second image, with the bag tied up and placed in one of my cupboards. I live in the desert and have 2 long hair cats, there's always cat hair (I sweep every day and mop every other day), when the wind blows, the fine desert sand dirt grit finds its way inside. So having this equipment as a whole unit with everything enclosed would certainly have been appreciated.As is, in the bag, it takes up half of one of my 4 top kitchen shelves, so what was there is now in another bag out in the garage on my appliance storage shelves.Suffice to say, I would have paid more to have the whole of this in one container, rather than 4 separate pieces tied up in a grocery bag to store.

I am quite satisfied with this product and like that it had two slicing blades one for very thin slices and one for a thicker slices. I wanted a slicer that could make thin slices for potato chips, and dehydrating. I am a gadget lover and have a electric slicer for bread and meat, and have used it for veggies, but it is loud and hard to clean. I also have a food processer but it is also a pain to clean, and takes up a lot of space in the dishwasher, plus the blade for slicing only sliced thick slices. This works good for small jobs, and is easy to just rinse off the blades. The slicing blade if VERY sharp and easy to slice veggies like onions, green peppers, and potatoes. I haven't used all of the attachments, but am pleased that the blades are very sharp. I was afraid that using it would take a lot of muscle since I have arthritis, but it is very easy to use. I am very glad for the safety glove because I have had my share of kitchen accidents. Hopefully everyone uses this product using safety precautions. I have a been known to ignore instructions and regretted it. The product came will blade holder, but I prefer to store the parts inside of slicer. Update: I started to use one of the ribbon blade and found it difficult, so I came back and decided to watch the video, I wish they would have the demonstrator narrate and explain how to hold the hold the vegetable, because I didn't have much luck with that blade. Most of the demonstrators seem to be practiced, I wish they would share some of their knowledge with a greenhorn like myself. :UPDATE I have had this slicer for about a month and the slicing blades are dull. I use it to slice potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions for the dehydrator, I only did small amounts. I thought maybe I could get replacement blades and when another customer asked about replacement blade he was told to just buy another one. Shouldn't the blades last more than a month. I realize that it was only $20, but if they only last a short time shouldn't you be able to get replacements? $20 is not a lot but not if you have to buy one every month or so.

Mandolin cuts fine, however it leaves a half inch thick pieces that get stuck between the blades and the hand piece. It's a lot of waste. It will cut 1/3 of a carrot and the other 2/3 you have to cut with a knife. Pretty fed up with cheap ch-ese products so leaving a review.
