The book world of San Amaro Island is one of my favorites and somehow I had skipped over Clay's story, so I was excited to return to these terrific characters once more. Knupp's books are always a joy to read, with talented writing and professional editing, and Clay's and Andie's story may be my favorite of all the Fire Island books. The books in this series are interconnected but stand alone and can easily be read in any order without the reader feeling like she's missing anything.
I adored Andie's character, a woman who rose above a spectacularly awful past and became self-reliant, but to the exclusion of allowing anyone to be close to her. Until Clay and Payton. Andie acted defensive and tough but had a heart of gold under that tough outer shell. Clay was great too, growing up quickly when he became a full-time father, but he still needed to learn to trust himself. Clay and Andie were great together and each helped the other see their own strengths. Payton was precious, of course, and provided lots of adorableness. Fully Involved is a fun, easy, terrific read, with a little heat, a little humor, and lots of heartwarming goodness, so don’t wait to read this one.

I purchased Fully Involved book 3 in the Island Fire Series by Amy Knupp and this review was given freely.
Loaner and Harley rider Andie comes back to town for Derek and Macey's wedding and becomes involved with single dad and firefighter Clay. Learning to trust, accepting love, a struggle with giving forgiveness, a custody struggle, a wedding, and the birth of a baby are just a few of the things that make this complex story so good.
This series takes place in the island of San Amaro, TX. The main characters are firefighters and first responders that are friends, and frequent the local seaside shack owned by one of their guys.
This story belongs to Clay Marlow and Andie Tyler, whom we met in book one. Clay is a single Dad trying to get permanent custody of his three year old . Andie is a drifter, biker girl, with a past , tons of emotional baggage and with a heart just as big. She becomes Clay’s tenant and in a short amount of time she falls in love with Pay, his daughter and the attraction between them is evident. But both fear any relationship would jeopardize Clay’s custody trial and try to avoid any physical contact.
It was a story that at times was heartbreaking. A reminder that we should not judge people only by their looks. That our childhood and youth will affect us not only as adults but also on what we think of ourselves. That domestic abuse is very much alive. A tragic reality, but still very real.
But in the end, if you find someone that sees you for whom you really are , and love you , you should embrace that love and not let it go.
Kudos to Ms Knupp for such a touching story.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This one is Clay and Andie's story. We have meet both people in the first two books. Andie was a really interesting person in Playing with Fire
Lot's of intrigue and questions about her and where she come from and where she went. We get the answer's in this book. Not what you
would think. Clay is also part of the first two books, where we learn he is fighting to get his 3 year old daughter Payton, from an ex girlfriend
who is a druggie. Clay has cleaned up his life from being a somewhat wild teen, is devoted to being a firefighter, and hopefully a full time dad
He is unsure of how to raise a daughter, but loves her with all his heart. He has problems with his family so only his sister is there to help.
Clay. Amy and him meet up again when she comes back for Macy and Derek's wedding.
Clay run's over her bike, the love of her life. To help her out till the bike is fixed he lets her rent(very cheap) the other side of his duplex.
As they are both already interested in each other and now start to learn more about each other.
Clay's daughter Payton, fall for Andie really fast and hard and Clay is surprised with how Andie is around her.
Give this book a try am sure your love it too. There is something about both Clay and Andie you want to root for both of them.
The only thing about this book that I disliked was it was too short ! Enjoy
