They add up to 3 inches to your normal hieght, they are very comfortable to wear, it was a struggle to put in my shoes, but I go it. All you have to do is loosen up your shoe laces. It has a really strong weird smell, but that's because they are new and you just have to break them in. You have to wear hightop shoes. Low shows that are down to your ankle won't work with these /: sorry. But they really boost up ones confidence! I'm a trans male, 5'2 so they really help me "fit in" in high school because most of the boys are 5'5 and up (:
