I purchased this tool and was surprised it was made in a town across the river from where I grew up.
But I digress.
Upon recieveing this tool I was amazed at the weight. This is not a tool for light duty work. If you need a top quality demolition hand tool and find yourself bending crowbars, or find that they never are angled correctly, then get this item.
This tool should last a lifetime.
I purcahsed the 48" variety.

If you need to take up an entire house worth of hardwood floor, then this is the tool for you.

My parents house was flooded by Sandy. Being self-motivated people, we knew we immediately needed to start demolition. Drywall and tiles are easy, but wet hardwood floors are difficult, back breaking work. Trying to get that done with a handheld prybar would have taken us a week. With this ridiculous tool, I did the entire house by myself in 2 afternoons.

pros:
high quality tool
engineered for floor/plank removal

cons:
ridiculously heavy-if you are a diy-hobbyist, or mildly out of shape, you may want to consider going to the gym first, and booking a massage later.

Would buy again 100%

I used this bad boy the past two weekends to take apart a cradle dock from the lake. I easily removed the 350 feet square feet of deck boards but was also able to remove 25 - 6 x 6 pressure treated timbers (some 16 feet long with multiple spikes) with 12 inch spikes with this bar (all the while there were 2000 pounds of rocks leaning against them). It was harder to move the timbers than to pry them loose. The bar with the two different angles on the claws works like a dream. The hard steel shaft does not come close to bending when prying timbers or heavy rocks. With this one job the tool more than paid for itself and it is barely broken in. I can imagine using this again and again for various jobs.

I would highly recommend this tool for anyone with real work to do. The thing will last three lifetimes.

Amazon prime brought it to me in two days no shipping cost. Unbelievable deal.

I purchased this wrecking bar several years ago. I have nothing but glowing comments for this item. As you tear apart decking from the top deck, you have two angles with varying torque that you can put into the board removal. If you are close to the house you can use one side, and out in the open, you have plenty of torque for easy board lift up and removal. Come on guys, watch that back. I am purchasing my second one since my help misplaced the other one. I have learned to work smarter as I get older; you should too. This is not the best tool for pulling nails, but there are better and smaller tools for that function. Happy demo fellas.

This is one good bar for those big wrecking jobs. This is not a "renovator bar," it is not for those finesse jobs. This bar is made to pull out the most stubborn boards and studs. It has not let me down.

This wrecking and pry bar is a beast.

Strong reverse angle on the cat's paw end that enables easy pick-prying.

Long and strong.

This is thing is like a poor man's halligan tool; big, mean, capable, and a good equalizer if you find yourself in a rumble with something that doesn't want to go your way.

Received my order promptly and in good shape. I haven't had a chance to use this tool yet. I'm getting ready to tear my deck boards out and replace them and this heavy duty tool should do the job. This pry bar is heavy duty and should make any wrecking job easier.
