We recently got this game and my first initial thought was how quality the box and the cards looked. We loved this game. We loved the bright colors of the cards! We enjoy games that are fun to play as a family but also challenging enough for adults to enjoy too. It is similar to dominoes with a twist, you can break off into different arrays and slam and splat each other to have them pick up cards or gain points. My 6 1/2 year old son was able to play with some coaching as well. It isn't a real intense game so you are able to chat and visit while playing as well.

Array has really changed "family game night" in our house. We have three kids ages 12-19 and trying to get teens - especially so spread in ages - to sit and play a game together with us or with each other is a real challenge. That challenge was met when we purchased the Array game from Funnybone Toys. It's a "color card" version of the classic game of Dominoes, but with so many more elements: the cards have 2, 3, or 4 colors, so the connections go out in all directions. There are rules that let you "slice" a portion of the connected colors (that they call "arrays") and "splice" other cards to where you sliced. It's so much more than Dominoes, but still has the classic elements that have made that game fun for all ages for so many years. There was also a chance for the younger two kids to ban together to "splatter" and "slam" their older brother in one round, eliminating a huge lead he had just gotten the round before! We went to visit my mother's house and - shock - the kids brought the game to play with her! It had been years since all three have sat down together to "play with Grandma" and the smile on her face was one I will always remember. If you're looking for a game that has strategy, yet is easy to learn and great for all ages to enjoy sitting together at the table, then Array is definitely a game to keep on hand.

Two missing rules without which the game is incredibly confusing.

1. If you cannot play you draw a card, otherwise you do not draw a card at the end of your turn.
2. At the end of the round the board resets.
