About the Author

I’m a Paralegal by profession and a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem in my spare time. When not working or volunteering I’m writing. One of six children, people always seem to be fascinated by the fact that I have a twin. She and I work for the same agency, in the same office, and are inseparable…my poor husband! I’m married and have a step-son who adores my sister. We also have two dogs, one black lab and one yellow (Zena and Jimmy) I did NOT name the dogs. I’m a huge fan of MMA, boxing, hockey, 30 Seconds to Mars, and the Killers. I also love to read because it encourages me to write. ( I always hate it when authors add that they love coffee and chocolate. Really?! Who doesn’t love coffee and chocolate.) Anyway, I love beer…kidding. I don’t love beer, but we are engaged in a very serious relationship. (Mom, please don’t call me when you read this.) Please visit me at SusanBliler.com for exclusive excerpts of soon to be released works. Also, please leave feedback. Believe it or not I actually read your opinions/suggestions and try to adapt my work accordingly. ps: I have the best fans in the world! Keep e-mailing and leaving comments on my site and check back for soon to be implemented free reads and book give aways.

I'm a fan of this author but I honestly don't know what happened here. Furious starts strong but falls off pretty quickly. There isn't much of a story so I will cut to the chase and say read any of Bliler's other books and you won't be sorry. Furious is a disappointment in more ways than I have time to say. The problems were endless. No plot development, no character development, no real romance, no likable characters and a mountain of typos to name a few.

The main characters Draken and Lucia, were no more than cookie cutter love interests. Draken wasn't so much an alpha male as an obnoxious and cruel control freak. To the bitter end he insults, badgers and drags her around while yelling out accusations of some kind or another. Lucia the heroine, was a weepy needy mess who sometimes pretended to have a mind of her own but never sustained. When she wasn't attempting to run away from Draken, she was caving in and crying herself to sleep endlessly. Sadly she was run over by Draken repeatedly from the beginning to the end of the story.

I kept going because I really like this author and I wanted the story to pick up or change or something. Anything.

I'd skip this one because it never gets better. If it had been a freebie it still would not have been worth the time it took to push through to the end.

Furious is definitely different from the other books that Susan has written. She wasn't going to even publish this one. Why not? I don't really know. I do have to say that I was a little disturbed with this one. The main male character, Draken, is controlling, demanding, mentally abusive and yet "can" be charming. The main female character, Lucia, seems strong but to actually fall for Draken??? Ooookay. I had a little bit of a hard time following this story because I guess I just couldn't wrap my head around a female actually doing what Lucia does in this one. There is a lot of going back and forth in this story as well. Draken is intrigued with Lucia. Draken hates Lucia. Draken adores Lucia again. Lucia hates Draken. Lucia fantasizes about Draken. Lucia doesn't trust Draken. Back and Forth with them both. The story definitely keeps you reading. It never slows down or goes into too much detail that you don't really care about. And there are POV's from them both which is good. It helps you understand the characters a little bit better.

My own personal opinion of this type of guy isn't a positive one, it doesn't mean the story as a whole isn't a good one. Even though I think there could have been a little bit more body to the story I still would recommend this book.

Oh Yeah, at the end of the story, there is an excerpt on Skin Walkers: Leto. YUUUUMMMM!!! If you haven't tried out Susan's other books, you are missing some amazing stuff!!

I am a fan of Susan Bliler's Skin Walker series and I have several of her other stories. I like this one, but it was a bit off the beaten track if you will. Illegal street racers as they were called seemed an unusual subject, especially, as I understood the concept they raced on tracks not streets.

I found the story line a bit confusing and at times I really didn't like the hero Dracken at all. He was self absorbed, abrupt, and bit of an angry tyrant. I also thought that Lucia at times sort of just went with the flow and didn't really assert herself.

It's not a bad story it's just not as good as Susan's Skin Walkers series and that is a bit of an unfair comparison, but it is what it is. If you like romance you'll undoubtedly like this one.

I gave this book this rating because it was too drawn out for me and i had hard time liking the lead male character. He was hard to understand and was quite a jerk for the most part. He's too up and down for my personal liking. I would recommend this book for someone who likes men with darker streaks to their personalities.

love most of this authors stories. this one wasn't bad, just wasn't as good and I expected. Only thing I've ever read by her that didn't just grab me and not let go until the very last page. found myself hoping the next page was the last with this one. not bad, just could have been a whole lot better.

What can I say I have read so many books over the past twelve months and can never get enough. It is great to be whisked away to another place and put yourself in the characters shoes. Just reading the descriptions in Susan's novels you can imagine what it was like. Loved them.

I am a big fan of Susan Bliler but was disappointed in this book. The lead male Draken was too over the top and just not believable. I really disliked his character and attitude and found myself irritated and unsatisfied at the end. I actually found myself hating his character throughout most of the book. It was sad to me that the only time he was really civil and showed his heart was in the very last page of the book. I'm not a fan of books that have men who are extreme bullies, completely disrespectful, and almost criminal in their actions when it comes to their women . Don't get me wrong, the alpha male can be quite sexy in his love and possessiveness but the Draken character was the exact opposite for me. Sorry Susan. 😞

Please note that my thoughts on this book will NOT discourage me from reading other material by Susan as I have been very pleased with her other storylines so far. This is the only one I've read yet that left me unsatisfied or displeased with the story. Great work overall Susan....keep them coming.
