About the Author

Besides being a writer, JB Lynn is a compulsive reader, a runner (of sorts), an enthusiastic cook (who doesn't get the appeal of the Food Network), and someone who has an irresistible urge to eavesdrop at all times.

JB has a great love of her husband, dogs, coffee, purple ink, spiral notebooks, running gear, hot showers, and '80s music. Given enough time, all of these things will eventually show up in her books.

Cute series, I prefer the supporting characters to the main character Maggie, especially the animals but that may be just me. The series is something light and easy and quick to read and a good filler between my other book choices. I have enjoyed the family dynamics and the inclusion of the animals Maggie hears and speaks to. Even her friends are far more interesting. Maybe it's because Maggie is far too stretched and spaced out with all the problems she needs to attend to that I have difficulty liking her and her seemingly angry/whiny temperament. Her romance is also kind of lacking in the interest department for me. I much prefer the aunts romantic interactions. The group around Maggie is what keeps me reading this series.

This is a hilarious series from JB Lynn. I started with book one and was hooked. The tragedy that Maggie endures has left her with the ability to communicate with animals (and reptiles) and the conversations are laugh out loud. Love all the characters. Will be reading all the books in this series.

Lynn has written a whole series of books about her protag, and has always kept in the right voice (slangy Southern, ironic, and so funny in places that I had to stop reading until I got over the laughing fit she gave me! ) Just go read this series, OK!

I think anyone can see a little of these loveable characters in themselves. This second installment of the series was, as in the first, a fun and easy read. It's hard to close the book since each chapter begs you to read on to see where Maggie and her kooky family and friends will end up next.

Read the first book and you'll understand why she kills people for money (and how she talk to some animals!). It's great fun with enough action, mystery and near kisses to make you eager for the next book.

I'm going to start this review with the fact that I did indeed love it, but now I'm going to whinge (and not about the writing or the story). This is one of those series where I find myself getting annoyed on behalf of the main character, because she never seems to get a break. People are constantly wanting and needing and mean and nasty and selfish, and never give the poor main character a break! I found myself wanting to punch a few characters in the face on Maggie's behalf. Still, it's mostly a fun book and I absolutely love God and Doomsday (DeeDee)! I hope Maggie can eventually find love with Patrick coz he's so sweet :)

Disco ball murder, talking dog(Doomsday--now known as Dee Dee) and a lizard(Godzilla--wants to be called God)! This Hitwoman contends with a very sick niece, a too fresh boss, a Mob Boss, 3 lively Aunts, 3 sexy men, a bizarre but terrific co-worker, a pregnant BRIDEZILLA best friend. What else could you want,? Ok, her Dad is in prison and her Mom has been committed to a mental hospital. But who is calling her now?

I really enjoyed the Continued adventures of Maggie and Godzilla and DD.. As with the first book this one continually leaves you hanging and an unusual ending always follows. The interplay between Maggie and her pets is part of the enjoyment of this book.

As with the first book I can't wait to finish the next book to see what the next adventure will be. As with the first book you continue to learn more about Maggie and her family and the weird circumstances that have led her to this position as a hitwoman..
